I recently replaced a tired stock 1984 305 for a mild built 350 in my 84 c10. I used the old flex plate and balancer off of the 305 which was a mistake as I have some vibration issues even though the flex plates cross reference, the balancers do not. The balancer I used has the timing marks at the 12 o'clock position and the timing tab on the new motor is at the 2 o'clock position. I just ordered a replacement balancer,(I hope the mark is in the right place) which will allow me to at least time it a bit with a light I hope, but my question is, will the old balancer make the engine vibrate thus throwing the bearings out of whack, or is the culprit perhaps the flex plate? Also I am having a hard time getting it to idle well with my q jet carb. Any suggestions? The new motor block is from a 1976 Corvette

I have a nice small 2 possible 3 bedroom home in central Florida in good shape and with a new roof that I have been paying on faithfully for the last 3 years and am current on my mortgage. My question is how can I find someone who wants to assume my FHA mortgage so I can just be done with this house and go buy another in a different area of the country and is there such a thing as a home trade program? My current home is located close to schools and shopping in a quiet neighborhood and only 65 miles south of Orlando and I only still owe about 47000 dollars on it. The reason I want someone to assume my mortgage is because I want to get this done in a hurry and not have to wait and try to sell it on the open market. Besides I am not really wanting to profit from the sale and just want to help someone else out with an incentive such as them having my equity for hurrying up on this. I believe all they have to have is decent credit and a current job. Is that also right? Has anyone else done this before?

Ok call me dumb but my pinion seal was leaking so I dropped the drive shaft took off the pinion nut and removed the yoke pryed out the old seal and replaced with a new one. When putting back together I tightened the pinion nut to the exact same position as it was in before removal. I did use an impact to remove and replace the nut. Now when I drive it I am getting a rumble whining noise when I de accelerate and what sound to me like a bearing noise coming from the driver side rear at slow speed de acceleration. It goes away as soon as I accelerate, and it doesn't happen every time but most of the time. Did I do something wrong? I also drained and replaced the gear lube and have no leaks anymore but it sounds like the rear end is going out. I need help. The vehicle is a 94 chevy 1500 k series 4x4.

I need to know from someone who knows, is this statement extortion or blackmail or both.

In order to resolve this matter without the need for further legal action, send the merchandise in your possession along with restitution in the form of a check made payable to ( company name omitted ) in the amount of $350 to the following: I have never done business with this company and have no obligation to comply however I need to know if it is extortion or blackmail and if so what can I do about them trying to strong arm me like this? The statement was made by a law firm and is part of a letter sent to me in an email.

Is receiving a letter demanding cash payment and property for not filing legal action extortion? I received a letter from a law firm demanding payment and personal property on behalf of their client which I don't owe any money or have never had any dealings with, and in return they state this amount is to prevent legal action of a civil lawsuit.They go on to say that their demands are not negotiable. Is this extortion, or blackmail, or both?

I have a custom built HD shovel head that has been rebuilt with an S&S Sidwinder kit making it a stroker of 92 inches with a 4 speed trans solo seat and wide front end. It is easy to handle has lots of torque and keeps up with the evos all day long. My problem is I have a bad back and cannot ride too much anymore because of it. I live in south Florida and love riding but need something that will accomidate my ailing back. Any suggestions? I would sell the old shovel for 7000 dollars to the right buyer, but since I built the bike, I feel more inclined to save it for my now 16 year old son who loves it but isn't mechanically inclined at all. Any suggestins??? Help...

I have a new side band radio and tuned a set of firestik duals but dont really know how to use it besides talking to truckers on the road. What are the advantages of upper and lower side band, and how much trouble would one be in for adding a linear amplifier to their radio? What are the benifits of that? And last but not least how do I get the engine noise to go away from the radio?
