Local western show clothes?
I'm going to a local show next weekend, and I'm wondering about the clothes I have to wear. Is it ok to just wear jeans and a western shirt (not a blingy rail shirt, just a pretty basic western shirt)? I have a blingy belt with a big belt buckle that I won that I'll wear also, and I have a hat and boots that match my shirt. I think my outfit goes together fine, but is it fancy enough for a local show?

I'm going to a smallish local show next Sunday, and I haven't shown in a couple of years. When I last showed, I had long enough hair that I put it in a French braid. But... I've since cut my hair to a pixie cut. I am growing it out and it's almost to where I can cut it into a bob. I can pull it back in a very short ponytail that pretty much sticks straight out about 3 inches.
I'm planning on showing in halter, maybe showmanship, western pleasure, western horsemanship, and maybe trail. So how should I do my hair?? Do I put it in the little ponytail and let it stick out (just below my hat for halter, probably under my helmet for riding classes)? Or do I put a hairnet over the ponytail? I don't think I can just leave it down because it sticks out funny around my face. Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated! :)
1 AnswerHorses8 years agoIs it worth getting my horse double registered?
I have a red dun gelding who is already registered with the AQHA. I have been thinking about registering him with the IBHA as well, but is it worth the $70 it costs to have it done? Will it make him worth more if I do it? Is it only worth doing if the horse is a mare or stallion (for breeding purposes)?
5 AnswersHorses8 years agoBreakaway roping question?
I REALLY want to start breakaway roping. It wouldn't really be a regular thing though; just on occasion for fun. I have a couple of questions...
1. I have a barrel saddle - can I use it for breakaway?
2. If I can, should I wrap the horn with rubber before I rope?
2 AnswersHorses8 years agoHow to use mod podge over an inkjet print?
I'm making these cute coasters for my mom and grandma for mother's day. I want to use pictures of myself and my siblings on them, but they require that you put mod podge over the picture that you use. I would really like to make a collage sort of thing on my computer, then print it out with my printer and use that, but I know if you use mod podge over an inkjet print the colors will bleed.
So... Here's my question: If I print the picture collage out with my inkjet printer, then spray the collage with clear, non-yellowing acrylic sealer (I was thinking maybe two coats), THEN use the mod podge over it, do you think that would stop the colors from bleeding? If not, then do any of you have ideas as far as other ways to do this?
Thanks! :)
