I am writing a ~3000 word book analysis and I was wondering do I need to reference the book every time I talk about it ? We are asked to use APA format.

For example:

When Ernest Shackleton, the leader of the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition, sought out volunteers the task proved simple: he received more than five thousand applications.

It's not a direct quote from the book, but a summary of information I have gathered by reading it ... I am not 100% sure what I do here

Also, for a direct quote from the book; do I use the page number ?

Ex: The salaries offered were very low and thus these men were "motivated solely by the spirit of adventure" (Lansing, 2007, p. 28).

Any help would be greatly appreciated ! I understand the point of referencing, but it's just so tedious!

So I recently found out I have over 100 dollars in library fines... I was just wondering if there were any hard consequences (other than not getting to use the library) of not paying them?

I live in Canada, if that makes things better.

Here's the summary of the question ...

To calculate the half life of sodium we do an experiment with 320mg, after 60 hours we find that we have only 20mg left. Algebraically determine the half life of this substance.

I'm tired and at a loss as to what to do.

I was interested in attending a concert at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas , but I was a little curious on whether minors are allowed to attend ... when I checked for tickets on Ticketmaster it said "Adult" above the quantity of tickets.

I was just wondering if that just means they are adult priced or if it's for adults only ...

A 10.0kg mass is suspended by two cables in which the angle for cable one is 20.0 degrees and the angle for cable two is 60.0 degrees.

Determine the tension in each cable.

For the past couple years I have been chewing Advil Liquid Gels (Extra Strength) because they are the only ones bought in my house and I don't have the proper mindset to swallow them whole.

Hello,

I made a video using the webcam on my computer and then I proceeded to edit it using Windows Movie Maker (for Vista).

Here's my problem, it's for a school project and the school computers only support the Windows XP version. I cannot figure out how to convert it, so I was going to publish it but every time I click "Publish Movie (Ctrl+P)" the program stops responding.

Why does it keep freezing? and how can I solve the problem?

Is there a way to convert my video so it plays on a later version of windows?

Ok, so this has been going on for a little longer than a week...

My dog's lips near the back of her mouth have gotten really gunky lately and start to bleed a lot. They tend to drop down a bit more than usual...

What is wrong with my dog?

My dog was running around like crazy yesterday at the Dog park...something that is common and she didn't seem to hurt herself and all yesterday after she didn't show any pain.

But today she couldn't walk up the stairs from the basement (where she sleeps), well she made it up but she was sliding and stumbling a lot.

She now just sits next to the couch unable to move. She is showing great pain in her rear legs.

What does that sound like to you?

Should I take her to the vet now or should I wait?
