I recently replaced a gas wall oven and a gas range. We WERE going to have everything installed by Lowes, but we had nothing but trouble with them. It seemed like we were going to have to do all the work anyway.

So...we installed everything ourselves, but we need the gas lines connected. There is already a gas pipe running to the kitchen. Both appliances are mere feet away. We just need piping or tubing from the line to the appliances, and a pressure regulator needs to be put on the hose to the range. Has anyone had this done? What price should I expect?

I got one estimate for $430. I simply cannot believe that this job should cost that much. Am I being naive to expect a lower estimate elsewhere? What are your experiences?

My sweetie spontaneously planned a July 4th trip to Baltimore, MD, so now I'm planning in a hurry. We're driving down from Jersey tomorrow morning and we'll be staying at the Camden Yards Marriott. Does anyone have any advice as to where to best view the fireworks? How early we should get there? Should we bring chairs? I'd appreciate any advice you can give me on how to best enjoy the day!
