Not young, not old, but old enough to know some things. I love my husband; he is my champion, my hero, my best friend. 'I'm everything I am because... he loved me.' I have children and they make my world go round. They are so good, and I am soooo proud of them. (And this added in 2010: Now I have 2 amazing grandchildren -- talk about making my world go round!!!) I'm a dyed in the wool born-again believer in Jesus Christ, eternal salvation thru Him, and I believe the Bible. One of my favorite quotes is from my (then) 5 year old nephew: "I TRY to be good.... but, sometimes I forget." More quotes I like: "The only thing required for evil to prevail is for one good man to do nothing." (it's quoted various ways, but the truth is always there) "You can't fix stupid." And, bumper stickers: "I wasn't born Texan, but I got here quick as I could."

  • Season 2, Downton Abbey? I've seen Season 1, on Netflix. Where/how can I see Season 2, free, or ...?

I have ROKU (and NETFLIX) but Season 1 of Downton Abbey is the only part available. I've gotten things all tangled-up trying to set up to watch season 2, and, 3 online (hopefully at no charge) . It seems like a lot of JUNK , maybe even virus-type add-ons are involved. And, it's $$$ per Episode on Amazon, etc. But I don't mind commercials

Can anyone help me, -- step by step?

    THANX,

  • The best authors books are too expensive for Kindle; any tips?

Got a Kindle Fire over a year ago and haven't read one James Patterson, John Grisham, Baldacci, Clancy, et al since. Too expensive, and I can't find them available to 'rent' for the Kindles at libraries. I LOVE the Kindle, but my favorite authors are just too $$$. Only a few "up & comer" authors have been worth the time. Sorry, I'm just disappointed right now. Any tips for popular authors books one can afford?

  • We found an unfamiliar key in the estate property. We don't know what it is for? Is there a database?

Is there a WEBSITE WHICH SHOWS VARIOUS SHAPES AND STYLES OF KEYS ? It isn’t antique or anything like that, but it could be important. Any tips? It is small, silver, about 1 1/3 in. long overall. The head is about 5/8” square, and the business end is about ½ in long and has no grooves or metal-cut ‘teeth', but rather, a 1/2 in. long hollow “barrel” with a ridge on the top, no teeth. Maybe like for a file cabinet. ?

We've checked all luggage, private safe, and we know it is not a Safe deposit box. A locksmith is the next logical step, but this is a small village and we would like to keep her personal and business affairs private.

    Surely someone out there has seen or owns a key that looks something like this and could help us get to a starting point? Thanks so much! :o}

Is there a website or somewhere showing various key styles and shapes to help us identify what this key goes to? We need help – it could be important. Any tips?

The key is small, silver, approx. 1 1/3" long overall; head is about 5/8” square. The business end has no grooves or teeth, rather is it has a hollow “barrel” about 1/4 inch in diameter with a ridge on the top, and about 1/2 inch long. Maybe a file cabinet? We have to start somewhere in looking into it. Thanks!

  • Help - OVERDOSE?? Friend took these meds in last 5 hrs, & more soon. Needs advice, pain relief...?

    SHE IS PLANNING TO TAKE:

    • 3 (THREE) – Dicyclomine 20mg tabs @ 1:30am to 2:00am, for IBS flaring w/diarrhea, then 5 TUMS Ex. Strength Chewables.

    • 2 – Ultram (Tramadol) 4mg pain tabs for intense neck and back pain.

Spread out since about 6pm, she has taken:

    • Xanax 0.5mg – 3 tabs (directions are 1 tab 4X daily prn anxiety)

    • Hydrocodone 5-500M – 1 tab

    • Melatonin/Theanine 3-3 (otc) – 2 tabs

    • Zantac (Ranitidine) 350mg – 1 cap

    • MSM/Glucosamine/Chondroitin (otc) – 1 tab

Her “regular” morning thru afternoon regimen is:

    • Tribenzor (20mg olmesartan medoxomil, 5mg amlodipine, plus 12.5mg hydrochlorothiazide, all-in-one [for hypertension]) – 1 tab daily; This is a new med only 2 weeks; she was changed from Lisinopril 40 mg daily because of spiking.

    • Pristiq 50mg – 1 tab am (major clin. depression); (changed to Pristiq 50mg, from Prozac 20mg – 3 caps daily, 3 to 4 wks ago.

    • Amaryl 2mg. (Diabetes) – ½ tab 4 times a day;

    • Provigil 200mg – 1 tab q am; and last, but not least – Adderall 15mg. (amphetamine, generic), 1 tab am & 1 tab ‘about’ noon.

I am very concerned the 60 mg of Dicyclomine might push her into a dangerous overdose. Though she says she knows what she’s doing, and basically, for me to mind my own business. I am not leaving her alone until this is settled. It’s 2 ½ hours to the nearest hospital. She’s been very much more depressed and listless lately, and having bad headaches, dizziness, somewhat serious short term memory loss, and extreme fatigue – even worse than she normally deals with regularly. I am worried about her frame of mind as well. I realize this seems ridiculous to submit to Answers, but she keeps up with Answers and seems to really trust it. PLEASE if anyone can toss some good influence this way, I’d really appreciate your help.

Oh, I should say – she’s early 60’s, 5’ 4”, about 160 lbs. Has lost about 70 pounds in 2011, and has a stressful job. Also, all her prescription meds are legal and up to date.

    THANKS!

  • He's looking into divorcing me...? What should I do? I mean, what should my first steps now?

I'm quite certain he is not having an affair... yet. He's quietly done several things that make me very suspicious that he's "getting things in order." Our marriage has been stressed for some time now. I don't want to divorce - I love him very much. But, I'm thinking I'm beginning to see the writing on the wall. What do I do now? Obviously, an attorney the very first thing - but I have to play this like a chess game, and I don't want to be the one to burn bridges. Any wisdom, anyone?

  • Januvia 100 mg. for Diabetes... can they increase dose?

Is it common for the dosage to be increased to TWO 100 mg tablets daily? Of course I won't do it until I ask the doctor, but I need to know if anyone takes a higher dose than one 100 mg. tab daily?

I can't/won't take Metformin, etc. (weight gain), and do NOT want to start insulin. I'm hoping to get off all the medicine when I lose the weight - still about a year away. Meantime, am exploring options. Januvia works, but now it seems I need more.

I do fairly well with food choices and exercise, but not fast enough.

Anybody out there take more than 100 mg. daily of Januvia?

    THANKS!

  • Funny one.... this time I told ALL of it... sorry?

This is a story about a couple who had been happily married for years.

The only friction in their marriage was the husband's habit of farting loudly every morning when he awoke. The noise would wake his wife and the smell would make her eyes water and make her gasp for air.

Every morning she would plead with him to stop ripping them off because it was making her sick. He told her he couldn't stop it and that it was perfectly natural. She told him to see a doctor; she was concerned that one day he would blow his guts out.

The years went by and he continued to blast away.

Then one Thanksgiving morning as she was preparing the turkey for dinner and he was upstairs sound asleep, she looked at the bowl where she had put the turkey innards and neck, gizzard, liver and all the spare parts, and a malicious

    thought came to her.

  • What about buying a Timeshare for investment (to rent it out)?

Some sellers seem to be willing to sell their deed for little $$ just to get rid of it and maintenance fees. Some selling prices are exorbitant. Is there money to be made by purchasing (good location and good season) strictly to rent it to vacationers? Opinions? Pros or cons?
