  • My Fiance's ex owes him $3000 in child support overpayment. She failed to report a change in the cost of daycare?

(had a friend doing it for near free). We found out when we had to go for a support adjustment. The support magistrate is the one who ordered her to repay us but family court and support collection will not enforce the overpayment. She lied to get that money had he known of the change in cost he would have gone for an adjustment. Daycare was a separate order on TOP of his support amount. If I thought a penny of that money went to the child I wouldn't be so mad but I know it didn't. Now the child has come to live with us, we've had her for 2 months and are still paying support to the mother (court date for change of support is set for a few weeks). Do I have any chance of them tacking that money she owes onto her support payments? Her daughter can no longer live with her mother because of abuse by the mothers boyfriend, criminal charges are pending for that. But this kid needs clothes, school supplies, a computer (we have e-homework here). These are all things IMO that should have come with her if she was cared for properly.

Not looking for free. Just looking for a good alternative, not a fan of iTunes and Amazon is a pain to enter payment info every time I click on something.

  • Jealousy, other issue, or just bad luck?

I have 2 pekes, 5 yo male and 1 yo female. Little one was getting a bit smelly so i decided to give her a bath. Came out of the bathroom to him pooping in my shoe. He HATES having a bath so much it takes 2 of us to bathe him. This has never happened before, both dogs are fully housetrained, well behaved and get along great together. Was it just bad luck, was he being vindictive because she was getting attention or did he do it because he didn't think she wanted a bath?

  • Moms please answer...do i have the perfect gift?

Moms of grown children PLEASE ANSWER:

My future in-laws recently moved away from the home they raised their children in. Last year we drove 400 miles lat year to spend the holiday with them but this year we weren't able to. Some logistics have recently changed and we are planning to leave Christmas Eve drive all night and arrive Christmas morning. Just walk in the door while they're opening gifts with their other son. Mom has never in 38 years had a Christmas without her whole family around her, her boys always came home for the holidays.

Is giving Mom the surprise gift of her whole family, both her sons and both of her granddaughters a good surprise?

Just wondering if I have driven myself insane calling in favors and frantically planning (I swear I see at least a dozen grays I didn't have at Thanksgiving) for something that could flop.

  • Does it really make a difference if Giuliani's daughter supports Obama for Pres?

All over the news I'm hearing that Rudy Giuliani's daughter is supporting Obama in the 2008 Presidential election. Why does it matter who she supports?

First she's not of legal voting age.

Second a large number of young voters support liberal candidates

Third it tells me that even though her father is in politics she was raised in a home when children were raised to honor their own beliefs, not those of their parents.

Do you really think that this should (not will) have an effect on his run for the white house?

  • Have you thanked a firefighter lately?

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070619/ap_on_re_us/ch...

CHARLESTON, S.C is mourning the loss of 9 firefighters today. They lost their lives in the line of duty. So I ask you, have you thanked a firefighter lately?

Where I live our fire departments are 95% volunteer, and my fiance is one of those volunteers. I thank God every time he comes back from a fire, and when I hear about events like the one in South Carolina it makes me remember that my fiance, the man I love could be one of those 9. Families across America sit at home, same as I do and wonder if they will lose a loved one in a fire, protecting residents and business alike.

From the family of a firefighter to the families of the 9 who were lost our prayers are with you during this time.

  • Does this mean we're not all going to hell?

    According to TMZ.com:

Paris Hilton was just ordered back to jail in Lynwood.

Hilton left the courtoom in tears, screaming, "Mom, Mom, Mom."

One witness described the scene as being "physically dragged" out of the courtroom by a female deputy

Does this mean we're not all going to hell?

  • My godchild is turning one, gift ideas?

My godchild will be turning 1 soon and I have no idea what to get her, I'll probably pick up a few outfits but want something fun. I can't spend more than $50. My kids are 9, 10 and 12 and I'm lucky if I can remember what they had for breakfast this morning, let alone what they played with when they were one. Any suggestions would be appreciated, I AM looking for age appropriate toys for children 12-18 months. Thank You in advance for what I'm sure will be some great answers.

  • Should I have a knee replacement? see details.?

I was in a bad car accident when I was 13. I have had numerous operations to repair damage, one of which was done incorrectly and has given me pain for the last 17 years. I have been on narcotics on and off for 17 years ( I suffer from migranes as well from an anestesia reaction) My doctor (whom I do trust, I've been seeing him for about 12 years) reccomends a full knee replacement, but I'm afraid to go through with it. Had I done it when they first reccomended it I'd be on my 3rd replacement. now they have knee replacements designed for women, and they last 15-20 years on average. How do I get over this fear of surgery? I really would like to be nearly pain free for some of my adult life, but I recently had my Gall Bladder removed and had to be sedated before I was brought into the surgery center, I was having massive panic attacks. I've even seen a psychiatrist. Any suggestions? Is the replacement surgery and recovery a good or bad experience?

  • Lots of changes in my family, including a possible cancer diagnosis, what do we do now?

Our family is in upheval this year. My in-laws are selling the house and moving out of state. My fiance and I are all set to move out into our own place so they can put their house here on the market. All is terrific, my little niece was born yesterday and we should all be happy. The doctors told my father in-law yesterday that he most likely has lymphoma, no further details, they need to run all sorts of tests. My question is, where do we go from here? Can they still move? should we cancel our move? Where can I find more information? Any help would be greatly appreciated by a number of people.

  • Besides the basics what do you wish you had when you were in the hospital for L & D?

I'm not looking for the basics here. I'm talking about the comfort items to made you feel special. I'm already planning on body wash, shampoo, conditoner, lip balm, warm fuzzy socks, etc. But what else can you think of that would have been nice to have? This is part of a shower gift for Mom to pack into her hospital bag.

  • Does anyone else hate DISCOVER card?

I paid my bill in full and got phone calls 5x a day to get me to use it again. Started using it again and ran up some bills (always paid at least the minimum payment) my payment was 1 day late and we recieved 8 calls in one day from them, someone actually told my mother that if I paid my bills on time they would stop calling, I was one day late and my check was probably sitting in their mailroom. Now I'm out of work and tering to keep up with the minimum, not easy when they jacked up my interest rate, and I keep getting harassing calls, they promised me a plan that would stop all finance charges for a period of 6 months as long as my minimum pay,ent was taken by direct deposit. When finance charges appeard on my bill I called and they told me they don't do that. I have the name of the person I spoke with and the date and time of the call, they say they have no record. Does anyone else hate these people as much as I do? Or has anyone has this kind of problem?

  • During this time of year you see all kinds of people who need charity, can you believe this article?

A Plastic Surgoen is offering $15,000 in free plastic surgery. Sounds nice, sounds charitable. He is not offering to fix the face of a woman who was terribly burned, or a child who was mauled. He's offering a tummy tuck to Britney Spears. This is more rant than question but am I the only one disgusted by this?

  • Does anyone else think that by censoring things that few people find offensive we're giving away our freedom

Does anyone else think that by censoring things that few people find offensive we're giving away our freedom of speach?

The state of Maine has recently banned the sale of a beer called Santa's Butt Lager because they say the Santa illustration is attractive to children. Whatever happened to just telling our kids beer is for grownups? Municipalities all over the country used to put up spectacular holiday displays that were enjoyed by all, until a few people complained that they were offended. In our local town a Menorah (not sure if I spelled that right) was added in the 70's. This year we have no display at all, the towns reasoning is that a municipality can not continue to sponsor a display that is considered offensive to anyone. People ask things like what is wrong with our children today, I'm beginnging to think that we have created monsters who cannot accept any idea that is different from what they think . By making a few people happy we've ruined our country.

  • What in Gods name is happy pee?

We recently inherited a 4 year old peekineese who tends to piddle when hes excited , or scared, or happy. He was NOT trained in any way when we got him. The previous owner says it's just happy pee and theres nothing you can do about it. Is this just a matter of him needing to be trained when and where he's allowed to go? We've been working with him to go outside and he does go to the door if he needs to go out, but still has these little accidents, they are not puddles, just little drips. Help, I love this dog but I dont want to live in a house that reeks of pee.

  • Why do all my friends call me when they have baby issues?

I had my kids when I was 18 and 20, they're 9 and 11 now all my friends are pregnant or have babies and they call me to ask questions. These are the same people who just deserted me because I had to take care of my kids instead of going out to party. I guess what I'm asking is should I even bother helping them out when the weren't there for me when I needed them?
