When your had your heart torn out and were cryin' your eyes out...what was that song that sticks on your mind from those years?

When you and your significant other made peace and were sitting on the couch "cooing" or in the front seat of your car holding each other and that special song came on and you looked in each others eyes and had that first long make up kiss...mmmmmmmmmmmsmack!

And why?

I thought that movie was one of the coolest love stories that I've ever seen. The movie had so many cheesy scenes and misdirected pans it wasn't funny! But to this day I watch it over and over.

I met Lorna back in '79 when she was going to High School and working in a convelescent home part time. I ended up falling in love with her over time. We met up a few times and I thought her a very special person. Unfortunately her family didn't approve of me because of religeous differences mostly. And because of my race. But be that neither here nor there...Lorna and I had a passion between us. And no matter how we tried to get together and meet, there would be someone there or something there to upset the meeting. Later I was taken aside by the father then the "males" in the congregation and basically told that I was not "worthy", and I should stay within my own. Eventually they moved Lorna out of town and I lost touch. We connected a few times but I think she was just rebelling. Eventually I think she ended up doing what she had to do and getting married in that cathedral. For years I had dreams about her. They went away. But came back recently.

It's not like we're born with a cigarette in our lips to enhance our lives. Our first reactions when we inhale a cigarette is to cough out the ill smoke. Yet, young people say "I gotta have a smoke" and older folks, now, have to have another smoke because they can't do without.

My spouse shows higher regard for her cigaretts than our relationship or necessary projects that need be done. She started smoking at 13...she doesn't know why. But now she can't quit. And she won't attempt to either. It's just to important to her. Every piece of free time of hers is filled with her smoking...nothing else. When we go on trips we have to stop specially on smoke breaks.

To tell you the truth...I quit taking her out of town with me. And now we live in seperate houses.

I just can't compete with cigarettes anymore!
