More than just your regular "forgetfulness" type of elderly issues!

An elderly acquaintance has a wife who is a life long mental patient with severe alcohol and drug dependency problems. She's been under Psychiatric care continuously since 1960 and been recently diagnosed as Bipolar, but several doctors has repeatedly said, "She is crazy"!

This woman has had multiple accidental drug accidental overdoses simply because she has no fear of any drug. Her most recent Psychiatrist has refused to return her phone calls after treating her for about a year. In fact, most doctors have refused to take her on as a patient due to drug addictions and I assume that she is a liability to them.

Her husband is considering a law suite, saying that a MD cannot refuse to treat his wife since she is a Medicare patient. I say that a doctor can refuse to treat anyone that he/she chooses. This woman will not follow drug directions and takes too many of any drug that is prescribed to her and when her supply runs out will steal her husband's meds, who is also an addict.

I really don't understand why people even ask a question if they don't want to receive an honest answer, based in the information they've supplied!

Example:

My dog has had diarrhea and been vomiting, not eating or drinking for two days now, what should I do?

An honest and knowledgeable answer, according to the information supplied would be:

You need to take your dog to a vet, pronto! Your dog could be suffering from any number of problems, but only a vet can determine the exact cause.

Then you have someone reply to the question with an assinine answer:

Oh, it's probably something he ate. Just offer him some Pepto and wait a couple of days and see if he improves before spending any money!

So...they original questioner picks that answer as the "best answer" and says, "Thank you so much, I feel much better now. I was afraid that he was really sick and might die!"

Why even asked a question if you only want to read answers that make you "feel so much better"?

I am considering a re-location. I am looking for a rual area with a "Mayberry" like atmosphere. Which of these cities in Carroll County would you recommend?

Frankly, I am a bit tired of Mel Gibson's crucifixion by the media. When did a drunk's words and actions become nothing, but the truth and alcohol become a "truth serum"? If alcohol is a truth serum, why not just swear on a bottle of 100 proof Southern Comfort, rather than the Holy Bible? Heck, when under the influence of alcohol, strangers have been known to get married! He was driving drunk and that is his crime....not running off at the mouth.

If I only attended movies of actors that I agreed with.....I wouldn't go to the theater very much. Let's just give Mel a public flogging and be done with it!

Just curious.....I read so many inappropriate or bizarre questions that are asked here solely to incite anger or shock among others. Is it caused by immaturity, a personality disorder, some deviant behavior caused by a form mental illness or strictly the need for attention that causes an individual to act this? In your opinion, Is it better to ignore a troll, to answer their assinine question or admonish them for their rude behavior?

I can't believe the people who guest on the Jerry Springer show actually exist! There must be special secret location where these low lifes are bred!

I had a McDonalds coupon for a freebie. The pictures made it look like a Chick-Fil-A, but the real sandwich was far inferior. It was like comparing a vial of urine to a bottle of fine French perfume! The chicken fillet was so small it was hiding under the pickle slice. Do they think consumers won't notice the difference?

If your child, spouse, parent or other family member were murdered, would you still think capital punishment is wrong? Shouldn't it be an eye for an eye....a life for a life?

I live in the Metro Atlanta area and I am wanting to move to a more rual area near the Alabama state line. The areas of Carrollton, Whitesburg, or Bowdon. Do agents ever consider a swap of near of equal value? There is no morgage owed on my house.

Was the exhibition worth the money? Was the parking adequate and was it safe? Would you recommend the exhibit to others?

Is he/she knowlegeable about companion birds and does he/she have a good patient/client relationship?
