  • Benching vs Static question?

So, when you bench something you are moving, pushing on, an object, it has a weight that you are able to move.

When you "static stretch" you push something that is a weight that you could not move. It is heavier than what you might bench.

Why is static exercise, then, not better than benching?

  • If you're stuck in a time loop...?

Say that, hypothetically, you're stuck inside of a time loop.

Do you think that randomness would still be random? For example, a random number generator is used and it comes up as 6928 the first time that you use it. On the next day, you use the same number generator again. Is it 6928, or is it an entirely different number?

  • I'm looking for a Historian?

Today in AP European History, my teacher gave us a DBQ. One of the documents featured a picture of a booklet that was given to Japanese children in 1938.

(This is the picture here; http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Gq4i2cfO_vM/Tz59tL91gnI/...

The problem is that the DBQ doesn't cite any of its sources or have any other reference on what it actually is, that said, I am having trouble actually finding out who made it, or etc. I'm curious because I would like to know how many of these there are, and if there was any way that I could possibly get my hands on one.

So, anyone know a good historian, or a suggestion on how to find out more?

  • If all but the brain is removed, and...?

If all but the brain of a person is removed, and said brain is some how instantly placed into a jar that would allow for the absorption of Oxygen and energy, would this person, or brain now, be able to still function, i.e, have and process thoughts? Do you believe that the brain would last longer, about the same, or less time in this condition than staying in the body? Could you still be called "human" if this were to happen, and the time that it would last was significantly long?
