  • What motorcycle oil should I use?

I just bought a 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 classic with 2,000 miles. What kind of oil does this bike need in its next-to-new condition?

I need to know the numbers, what quantity for both a complete oil change and just a fill up, and recommended brands. I use Valvoline in my car so I was thinking about sticking with that for my bike.

  • First cruiser advice?

I'm planning on buying a 2000ish model Kawasaki Vulcan 800-1100 within the next week or so. I've taken a motorcycle training course taught by very experienced riders and was pretty much bored with the Suzuki GZ-250 I used by the end of the course.

I've never been in a wreck in my 2-3 driving experience (primarily 'cause I love being on the road so I pay attention).

Would something along these lines be good for a first bike? I want a V-twin, whatever I get... single cylinder bikes sound annoying in my opinion.

  • Keeping my old cell number 10 PTS?

I'm going to be switching from a contract plan with Verizon to prepaid with Verizon soon. Will I be able to keep my cell phone number?

  • $10,000 Credit Limit 10PTS?

What is a good credit card to apply for that offers a $10,000 limit? I have a score of at least 781 (probably higher now) and have over two years of card history with $2,500 total credit to my name.

I have around 5% credit usage right now due to gas and food, though I've tried to keep it as low as possible so I can apply for a better card.

    Any recommendations?

I've thought about Discover More since I've heard it offers a $5-10k limit and I've considered AmEx Blue since there's a good chance I'd get a high limit on that. Both cards have decent cash back rewards.

I am more responsible and smart with money than anyone I've ever met so don't give me the "don't use credit" bs... that advice is for the zombies of the world.

  • Debt to credit ratio 10PTS?

Is the debt to credit ratio calculated with all my credit cards combined or with just the highest account?

    I have:

$2,000 Chase Slate with $7 balance

$500 Capital One with $0 balance

Would my credit usage per cent be %.35 or %.28?

  • Why won't my PA system work? 10Pts?

    Here's what I have:

    -Shure SM58 microphone

    -Behringer Xenyx 2442 mixing board

    -Behringer 2000 watt amp

    -Behringer 1600 watt max speakers

All of the equipment is brand new and on their respective websites. Here's how I have it hooked up:

-Microphone to XLR in on channel one

-XLR main out on back of mixing board to XLR in on amp

-Speak-On out on back of amp to 1/4 inch in on speakers

I've tried messing with every button and dial I can find but I'm not getting any signal at all even on the main out sliders of the mixing board. I will more than happily give 10 points to anyone who can help me solve this. I've never worked with PA systems before.

  • Is there Mary Jane in my brownies?

My friends have been nice enough to bake me brownies for my birthday but those same friends have been trying to get me to consume weed in some way for several years. The brownies appear to be normal and I don't want to insult them (and I'm a chocoholic) so if there was weed in them would I be able to tell easily? I know what it looks like and smells like and they appear to be clean but I'm double checking.

For the stoners: I have nothing against MJ, it's just not for me and I have a job that tests frequently.

  • Will I need an amplifier with this mixer?

I'm very new to this so any info (even something you may think is useless) will help. I am planning to buy a Behringer Eurorack UB2442FX Mixer to do some home recording. Will I need to buy an amplifier for the speakers to get quality sound or is that built in? I know it has the IMP technology but I think that only has to do with powering the microphone.

  • Random fee on credit card?

A month or so I paid off my $500 Capital Once CC and just recently put a fuel charge of around $7 on it which was paid off within a few days. I just checked my account this morning to see if it had cleared and found a $.50 "Minimum Interest Fee" charged to my account. I don't think this has anything to do with the fuel charge... so what in the world is going on? Does Capital One charge an interest rate just for having a card? I know the charge isn't much but I'm fighting this based on principle. It's dirty money and wrong.

  • What credit card should I apply for?

I have had a credit card since my senior year of high school in February 2008. I have always paid my bills on time though I held an 80% balance on a $500 Capital One CC for a few months that was recently paid off in full. I just recently started a job that I'll receive my first paycheck for soon. What kind of credit would I be able to get? Last I checked (probably six months ago) I had a score of 719. The only thing that may negatively affect me is that my interest rate sent me a few cents over my limit a few months ago which was quickly paid off.

I'm needing between $1,000 and $3,000 for some much needed business equipment. Does anyone know a card I should apply for that would offer that much?

  • Panera Bread Online Training?

Does anyone know the URL of the training website used by Panera? I'm wanting to learn all the recipes so I can have time to talk instead of trying to remember what goes on what... I study better in private.

PS - I know you have to have a user name and password, so don't warn me.

  • Computer Whiz Analogy Question?

For years I've understood what makes computers tick and everything about them, I can just never find a way to explain RAM/CPU/HDDs.

    Would this analogy be correct?:

A scientist (CPU) has a lab setup with many varying chemicals set on shelves (Hard Drive) which he brings to his work surface/table (RAM). All the chemicals, even the ones he doesn't need are kept on the shelves. When he want to conduct an experiment, he brings only the necessary chemicals to the table. The bigger the table (the more RAM), the more efficiently the experiment will be conducted; the bigger and more well designed shelves (HDD size and speed), the more chemicals and ease of access he can have.

  • Question for foreign culture/religion buffs.?

First, you will have to pardon my ignorance; I never enjoyed history in high school. My foolishness is making personal research difficult.

Having that said: Are there any restriction on who is allowed to enter the Dome of the Rock (e.g. perhaps only a high priest may enter or is it open to the public)? Regardless to the answer for that, are there any buildings (religious or not) in which access is very limited or prohibited? I know, for instance, that many of the pyramids have death traps down every hall, so physical ability is less important to me than religious/some other restriction.

Thanks very much in advance! I will award 10 points to the answer that I feel benefits my research the most.

  • Demonoid invitation bonus?

Do members who invite new members who seed a lot get any kind of bonus? I've got a lot of files I want to get up on Demonoid since Mininova essentially went down but I need an invite. This would be a great opportunity for both of us.

  • Drink without getting drunk?

I have recently been introduced to the vibrant world of wine. I have seen so much interest and diversity throughout the community of wine fanatics and I'm wanting to dive right in and see what all the fuss is about. I have personal reasons that keep me from getting drunk and very much want to indulge, getting as little of a buzz as possible. If I were to slowly drink more and more over time is it possible to eventually drink several glasses and have too great a tolerance to get drunk?

PS - The "personal reason" has nothing to do with age.

  • Considering building a basic house. 10 Points for a good answer.?

Here's the deal, I'm 20 and all but forced to stay with my parents due to very few people hiring and apartment rent being higher than I could afford if I did have a job. I've been thinking and putting together designs for a very small basic house, which I would be more than content with while I go through college/find some dedicated musicians, don't lecture me on that.

If I were to buy some land and all materials needed for a 750-1,000 sq ft wood based house, how much would I be looking at? I know this is an unorthodox approach (in today's society, anyway), but I think it would be smarter to build a small house in the country where I'm free to jam rather than stay at an apartment where I couldn't be loud and my money would be going down the toilet. I know it won't be cheap, just accept the fact that I don't go with the flow and help me get an idea. Thanks.
