I met a beautiful girl at a concert last Thursday. She is 22 years old and I am 18 going on 19.

Well, I went alone to a concert on Thursday and noticed that she was also alone. I am super shy but I gathered the courage to go up to her and asked her

if I could join her. We enjoyed the concert and after the concert I never really expect anything and told her that it was nice to spend time with her and left.

She then walked up to me as I was exiting the stadium and she started talking to me and asked if we could be 'concert buddies'. So I asked for her number and she gave it.

The next day I msg her and we spoke. She told me she admired my courage to come up to a stranger like that. She also said that she appreciated the fact that I wasnt flirty or pushy like most guys. ( I guess because she so pretty she gets a

lot of guys hitting on her.

She asked me for my fb account and invited me on fb on sunday and we looked at each others profiles and realised we have a lot in common.

Well , I havent spoken to her since Sunday because I dont want to be to pushy or annoying. I am not sure if she likes me or just wants to be friends?

I honestly wont mind being friends with as we have so much in common it would be a real pleasure to be friends. Besides I am not really interested in a

relationship right now due to studies but I dont want to away a possible relationship as well.

She is basically my 'dream girl' but the above still holds.

So, what do you think?

Btw, I havent actually had a gf as yet so I am also afraid that if we do have a relationship, I would be too inexperienced compared to her and I would lose her completely.

Well , I am a student at university in South Africa and I am having a huge problem becoming friends with girls. I am extremely , EXTREMELY, shy around

girls.

I think it is because I was really overweight a couple of years ago that it really affected my self esteem. I also recovered from leukaemia 2 years ago.

Well, now in university I am finding it really difficult to talk and make friendshipswith girls. I guess I also have really out of the ordinary combination of hobbies and stuff I like that makes even more difficult. In fact my friends say I am like a

fusion between 'The Cable Guy' (played by jim carrey) and Dexter.

I am indian by race and I like nu-metal and rock , video gaming and have a sarcarsticly dark sense of humour. I do have a problem expressing my emotions and tend to do funny stuff when something bad or sad happens. I have tried changing my hobbies and tried being like other guys but I cant seem to bring myself to change. I guess I am who I am.

I dont drink nor smoke nor do drugs. I love helping other people with academic work if i can.

So, basically I would like to know what can i do to be more confident with girls and make friends with them?

Btw, I want to be friends with girls and have no intentions to date them , especially while doing my undergrad. So please dont come with ways to 'impress ' girls. Oh, and dont say join clubs and stuff because i have tried that and it hasnt really helped.
