Everytime I put in a disc, it says "Open Tray," as if nothing is in there. I know it's probably an issue with the reading mechanism... but how do I fix it? I've tried opening it, taking out the disk, and then putting it back in. I've also tried knocking on the top of the disk compartment. Sometimes this makes it read longer, but it still fails.

It fails in two ways - 1) Just two clicking noises and then "Open Tray" again

2) It reads but as it starts to rumble it just goes back to silence.

Can anyone suggest ideas or pinpoint the exact issue?

I have a question about GPA... I'm taking Honors and AP classes, and the max GPA I can receive is a 5... but I'm taking Spanish I because my spanish is very poor. Will I receive a top grade of 4 in Spanish? And will that take my GPA grade down? It's really important for me, i'm just an incoming freshman for High School.

Can someone explain to me an easy way to memorize how to multiply matrices? I remember some things; columns and rows - and how if the inner numbers are the same you can multiply them and the outer numbers represent the dimensions? I get stuck after that.

I recently bought a home-water dispenser machine, so it could be more convenient for my family and I to drink water. However, I've noticed that there's a little aftertaste that you don't taste in bottled water. Is this normal? Does it have to do with the sanitation of the machine?

I deleted my Java by accident a few weeks ago. I realize that I now need it again. I downloaded the typical installation package for Java (Update 17 now) on the website and I tried downloading it. Whenever it begins to download, it says:

I have a 2005 Dell Windows XP computer. It runs perfectly fine, and is relatively reliable. However, my computer never seems to have any memory. My C Drive is very small, only 10 GBs. I want to know if there are any things I can clear up on my C Drive. I've been searching through the whole thing trying to clear out unnecessary things, but it's come to the point where nothing can be deleted and I have, at the most 20-50 MB's. Any advice would be much appreciated.
