Does this make sense to any of you?
Promise me
Everyone ignored the hardening issue
Pretended they couldn’t actually see
Even when it was standing before them
A butterfly finally set free
He’s leaving, don’t you know?
Going and one day gone
You’ll see what you missed out on
When he proves all of you wrong
Dressed all in cameo with a bag at his feet
He approached you that summer day
You simply wished him off and went to sleep
While you left me to beg him to stay
I made him promise me one thing
And he looked me straight in the eye
When I said that he could go fight without me
But that this wasn’t our final goodbye
He hugged me closely and I just knew
That in that instant, he’d let me fall
My hero had walked away from me
And then the next spring, I got the call
My heart sank as they spoke calmly and kindly
I knew that the butterfly had accepted death
I let the tears finger-paint my face
As I somehow felt him breathe his last breath
Now I visit that place every Sunday
Where our broken promise is written in stone
His old pickup truck covered in snow
This is where I was left completely alone
They took him away from me
And the memory of that phone call tears my apart
And nothing can fill that empty hole
That some causally call a heart

1 AnswerBooks & Authors10 years agoWhat are the best and worst parts of this poem I wrote?
The Tides:
Please come way back for a while with me
To the easy way it use to be
To the tear-jerking laughter, the heart-warming glee
I miss those cheer-filled memories
Do try to tell me, without being appalled
That it wasn’t a dream a just vaguely recalled
Prove that you actually knew my name at all
Because if you do leave, it won’t break down my walls
They told me to run if I would
For as long and I needed and as fast as I could
To the farthest corner of the earth should be good
Away from this; where I’m misunderstood.
I wanted so badly, to see us as one
Even though, just after I put down the gun
It sucked out the laughter and stole all the fun
I couldn’t help but turn, remember, and run
I see now; the waters have cleared
Unbelievably, I overcame all that I feared
And all those I hid from, finally cheered
Yet the murky waves stayed as you disappeared.
And I’m left alone. Once more.

At the begining of SIMS 3 you can create a new game. I did so, and I went straight to create a sim. I made five sims. 2 young adults, 2 children, and one teenager. I didn't realize that you had to make them related while still in create a sim, so I didn't. when I finally created my entire house and moved in, my 2 sim young adults weren't married, nor were they parents. So I married the two YA and now I can't make the 2 kids and one teen they're children. What can I do? Is there anyway to make them adopt the 2 kids and one teenager? or do they just have to live in the same household forever without being related? Please Please Please help me!!!!!!!

A Mermaid’s Song
Silently gliding through the water, you go
Your scales glisten from the sunlight
The waters carry you far off and away
Singing your song of beauty and might
Your tempting smile draws sailors forward
And with every melody of breath
You wisp away one more innocent
To their lonely, aid-less death
A dying flower tucked in your hair
And your blue eyes gleam with delight
Your tail guides on your way
Once in, and back out of sight
Thy home is full of pearls and gems
Found under the water, it’s there
A sandcastle under the reckless sea
Swimmers and enemies shall beware
Handling carefully, the life of thee
Waiting for another to save thy from taking
A torn heart shattered in two
Sweetly now, and without breaking
You still shall sit upon that rock
Intertwined with the waves, is thee
Still singing thy song of graceful beauty
Oh, you mysterious fairy from the sea

Only A Dream
When I was a little girl
You took me to the mountains
We wished upon the evening star
And threw pennies in the fountains
We watched the sun set each night
And come up in the morn
The fun still hasn’t stopped
From the moment I was born
I was your little girl,
and with a proud smile on you face
You told me that one day I would
Run the most amazing race…
And win…
And yet I stand here, over the acceptance papers
Telling me otherwise. I ran all this way
So you would be proud once again
But I stand here, with tears in my eyes
Wishing you could be by my side.
Holding me still while I cried
I worked for years, you know it's true
I never gave up, I kept pushing through
They all said to discontinue
And what did I do?
I never stopped wishing…
And I kept pushing through
I remember the look on your face
When I got an a on my test,
Or high-fives from my team
You held your head up high
Reaching the sky…
But it was only a dream
I never saw the top of the mountain
Or the stars in the sky
My penny didn’t get me into college
Yet I sit here and cry
For a dream too hard to peruse
Now what shall I do?

Not or Never Be
I wake up each and everyday
Thinking about his beauty, so tame
I go through every minute and every second
Wishing, and praying that he’s doing the same
I know he never was.
I know he will never be
The one that hold me close
And loves me for being me
Their will always be a better fit
For him, I know there’s someone more
But I cannot help myself
I always be a two and she’ll always be a four
I still go to bed each night
Praying to dream of thee
And I still make up each morning
Knowing it isn’t me

1 AnswerMovies1 decade agoWhich short poem is the best?
Waiting for him to find you
Is the hardest thing to do
I know what your feeling
No one to trust no one to love
I need you to understand tho,
that ur my best friend
And I am here, your favorite foe
So stop waiting for tomorrow
And start believing today
Because this is where I am
And this is where I’m gonna stay
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wanted to thank you.
For the times we shared
For the secrets we kept
And how much u cared
You never backed down
And never let go
You got me thru it..
So for that I wanted you to know
That I really want to thank you
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Weather or not I will
ever get over the rainbow
Is not the point
I just thought you should know
That I will get over there one day
And I will never be the same
And I will thank you forever
Because I now see life
In a completely different way
And you’re the only one to blame
1 AnswerPoetry1 decade agoWhat do you think of my short poem?
Why you?
I was strong for a while, there
Without the thought of you
But just today something you accost
Broke me down and now I am lost
Not knowing what to do
It was in the hallway, just now
When you spoke just a three-worded crime
I was so strong, and so sound
But it all fell to pieces, hitting the ground
I can’t tell you, but I am running out of time
“I miss you” is all you said
And I crumbled beneath the light
I just can’t stand this anymore
I thought my last tear hit the floor
And is it really worth the fight…?
I was doing just fine, for a while, there
Up until my whole world fell apart
Our eyes caught each others sight
And I realized that I was in love
With a boy who had stolen my heart

A Love Story
She doesn’t know,
Even through toil and snare,
Her feelings for the knight
But Being the maiden, fare
She dreams of him all night
But doing so, keeping out of sight
For he knows nothing at all
And if she fails, I’ll be there
To catch her when she falls
We are all waiting to hear
The news, good or bad
To see if he’s the one
Or if her heart’s wishes
are going to set with the evening sun

2 AnswersOther - Arts & Humanities1 decade agoWhat do you think of my short poem about life?
Fallen down
I’ve fallen down
Far under my dreams
My expectations,
And life is only getting worse,
Life is impossible, it seems
Its just a disappointment to me
I had such high hopes,
I had such big plans,
That I have to let be
Because I’ve fallen down
And you see,
I can’t seem to get back up again

1 AnswerMovies1 decade agoWhat do you think of this poem I wrote?
Determination
Second star to the right and straight on ‘til morning said the fairy afloat
I will sail the sky on my tinker- built boat
I will search high and low for the on they call Pan
And live all my days the one way I can
I’m determined to know what lies beyond the ocean
And walk my life in a single step motion
If it takes all night to keep out of sight
I’ll do it, I’m determined, and I am ready to take flight
So give me a chance and I’ll shoot for the stars
Because in my eyes the world is ours.
