I had ordered for an philips mp3 player online and received it after a week. On receiving it I put it for charging after an hour or a couple of hours I tried turning it on. But it did not switch on. So I thought it wasn't fully charged and again put it for charging. within few minutes d player started heating up. I took it from charging. After it cooled down I again tried switching it on. but it didn't. Then d next day i tried charging it through my laptop nd it immediately started heating up. so i called up customer service of that website through which I had purchased and told them about it. he said he would replace me with another piece of the same kind. instead i asked him "if i can buy anything else for that amount than u replacing with another piece of the same". he said "no that s not our company policy". I asked him "if even in that piece I face the same problem what will I do". He said if that happens within 30 days u can contact us we will replace it for u, if it s more than 30 days u wil hav to go the philips service center and get it done. I said "if tat cannot b repaired then wat will u do? wil u replace it ?" he said v r not responsible...... I want to know if such a reply as to v r not responsible for the product sold after a month nd u should deal with the company yourself under any law acceptable? what can i do?
