  • My 8 year old son had a fasting glucose level of 129. Should I be concerned?

He was checked for sugar in his urine a few months ago and it was clean. He has excessive thirst and urination (has for a long time), he's also been very "lazy" (no energy) the last week or so. I decided to check his glucose first thing this morning and it was 129. He has not been diagnosed with diabetes.

  • Newly seeded grass with bare spots....?

I planted grass seed in an area of my bakcyard. The grass has started sprouting an is about1-2" high. But I have bare spots. Will the new grass fill in the bare spots or will i have to reseed those areas? If I have to re-seed, should I wait until this new grass is well established?

  • Normal to be getting eye teeth first?

My son is 4 months old and I think he's teething. I can feel a bump where one of his bottom eye teeth would be. I looked in there today and there's a white bump there. How normal is it for them to cut eye teeth first? I have a 4 year old that cut his bottom front teeth first (which I thought was normal). He didn't cut teeth until 8 months. Is 4 months too early to be teething?

  • My dog has tetanus?

I know it is extremely rare in dogs, but mine has it. He's been on penicillin treatment for about 2 weeks now with 1 week to go. He isn't getting any worse, but his jaw won't release. Does anyone know if he'll ever be able open his mouth again even if the treatment kills the bacteria and toxin? He can get his tongue out and we have to make him "dog food soup" to eat, so he's not starving. But he's so playful and happy...so I know it's not spreading. Please...any insight would be very appreciated. My vet has never seen tetanus in a dog and he's researched it and called his colleagues....NO ONE knows what's going to happen! All he can tell me is from what he has heard...the outcome is usually not good and the dogs had to be put down.
