  • After a layoff what did you do to occupy your time?

    Right now I will still get my regular pay for the next two months, then I will receive severance pay that covers 11 weeks, then my unemployment starts. (Should be October)

    I am already signed up for technical college but that doesn't start until July.

    I want to complete the classes I will be taking before I try to go back to work, plus there isn't much to apply for here anyway since a lot of places have had layoffs, too.

    So what did you...or would you do to occupy your time?

  • Does the Democratic nominee usually change venues just for his speech?

    I was listening to the news yesterday and heard them say that Barack Obama was going to speak at a bigger venue..INVESCO Field at Mile High and not the Pepsi Center.

    I thought that the conventions were always held in the same place until it was over.
