Was the M-16 ever chambered to fire the 7.62x39mm AK-47 ammo?
Father in law claims that while he was in Vietnam, troops had M-16's that were chambered to fire the 7.62x39mm AK-47 ammunition. I told him I had never heard of the M-16 firing 7.62x39mm and that there is a big difference between the 7.62x51mm NATO round that the US used and the 7.62x39mm round that the Soviets and Vietnamese used (not to mention 7.62x54Rmm).
11 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoHow to remove brake rotor from wheel hub?
I have all the parts unscrewed, wheel and caliper. I have taken a rubber mallet and beaten the brake rotor for a good 30 minutes. I have even let liquid wrench soak in between the two parts to help break the rotor free. Kung Fu kick and beating on the rotor will not help removed seized rotor. Any general maintenance advice on how to break a rotor free?
10 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoDo you ever wish you could go back to grade school for a while?
I was thinking back to junior high when use to have simulations for history class. We would typically act out historical events in class for hands on learning. Our class got to do a model UN simulation where we actually ran our country and interacted with the other countries. We had to build our economies, militaries, and world influence. We also had to manage our resources, population and meet goals that were given out by the teacher.
I thought back and wondered how can I go back to Junior High and have that much fun again? It would sure beat running SQL SPUFIs all day to extract data.
