My family has been doing the same thing Christmas day forever. We open presents and have breakfast at my Mom's house, then we pack up the car and drive 2 hrs to my Grandmother's house for a big family gathering with all of the Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, etc. We have a big dinner and open presents, then hang out and catch up. We usually spend at least one night with my Grandmother before returning home. My Grandfather died a few years ago, and ever since my Grama has been sad at Christmas time. She is now almost 80, and has decided that this year she doesn't want a big thing this year, so everyone is staying home. This is the first Christmas ever that my immediate family (brothers, sisters and parents) have nothing to do. We see each other all the time, so just getting together for the day doesn't seem very special. It was the big gathering and travel that we loved. It is becoming very depressing for all of us. What do other people do on Christmas Day?

My brother has a 4 year old, 50 lb female Husky. The other day, with NO warning, she attacked my 9 lb 10 year old Shih Tzu. All my dog did was walk by her on the way out of the room. She grabbed ahold of her by the neck and jerked her until my Mom pried her off. My dog has several bite marks and a slipped Cervical Disk in her neck. The husky used to bother my dog years ago, but not this severly. She almost killed her this time and I don't know why. The worst part is, the Husky doesn't think she did anything wrong. She didn't submit or even look guilty when she was yelled at. I am trying to keep them separated, but it is a small house. My dog has a heart condition and is VERY small. i am so worried about this...any suggestions on the cause or how to fix this?

I have worked for the same employer here in Michigan for 9 years. I work for the cheapest department in the company and I make horrible pay. I found out that they are hiring in new people for more than I make!! I have been here since highschool! I am qualified to cover multiple jobs and I am full time. My sister was hired in a different dept here a year ago, and she makes $2 more an hour than me! If the economy changes that drastically, don't I get a market adjustment on my wages? I think I should at LEAST get paid the increase the new hires are getting.

I need a new computer and have no idea how to shop for one. I'd use it for RPGs, bills, CDs/MP3s, spreadsheets and school work. I'd like one with good graphics that doesn't take a year to get moving (Mine now is slow as molasses). What kind should I get?
