  • Does anyone know what this Spanish Movie is?

    Hello,

I hope someone can help me with this movie - here's what i remember about it.

The film is set in Spain i think sometime in the first half of the twentieth century possible around 1930s.

A guy and girl from a poorish neighbourhood are engaged - the girl won't sleep with her fiance and the guy ends up having an affair with a femme fatale.

The girl knows he is seeing someone else but wants him and her land lady or friend convinces her that she must sleep with her fiance to keep him. However this doesn't stop him having the affair.

At the end the guy and his fiance sat in the town square and she tells him that if he does not love her she does not want to live. He slits her neck with a knife and leaves her to die alone in the square.

Does this movie ring any bells with anyone???

    Please help if you can.

  • Cut and Pastte Answers to Yahoo Questions?

Do you find it annoying when people cut and paste what they find on the web in reply to other people's questions?

Aren't people coming to Yahoo questions to find out people's personal responses and thoughts not web plagerism?

If you want to find out what is on the web you can just google it.

  • How to cope with fear of flying?

I never used to be scared of flying but I am getting more and more anxious about flying not just a 9/11 type incedent but just a plane accident - I am sure Lost didn't help! I have also started looking up crash statistics which i thought would show how safe flying is - which they do but at the same time show all the gruesome details about crashes.

Anyway does anyone have any tips for feeling a bit stressed when I fly (take offs and landings are the worst bits for me.

  • A question about campness?

I just wanted to know whether the increase in numbers of camp gay men in the media is a positive expression of gay men and is a move forward?

Or is it propogating a negative stereotype of gay men as an unthreatening honorary woman - sometimes bitchy, catty, insincere and vacuous- as the only acceptable face of gayness?

Do other people even agree that the majoritiy of openly gay men on the tv seem to represent a camp stereotype?

I have some gay friends who think it is a really negative thing and others who think firstly that there's nothing wrong with being camp and it just shows more acceptance of gay people.

  • Does anyone know this song (possibly by the beatles)?

Ok here's what I can remember about it.

    ITs a 60s-70s era song.

I am pretty sure it has a brass solo in it.

It is about a boy and girl who are about to break up.

The line i vaguely remember is about

how he can tell by the look in her eyes as she brushes her hair in the mirror that she doesnt love him anymore.

This song is not the beatles song about the parents upset that their daughter is leaving home.

Its not on the Revolver album.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

  • Why is the peace process stalling in Northern Island at the moment.?

What are the main barriers to a solution.

Is it individual people trying to hold on to power refusing to compromise for themselvse or are there structural problems with the proposed settlements that would be fundamentally objectional to the communities involved.

  • Anyone remember this children's movie???

    Hi everyone.

I think this film was made in the late 70s or in the 80s. Its set in some mythical time long long age.

Its about a boy who can attract gold to himself and his older sister. When they are little the boy gets abducted by robbers. Then the girl wanders around the countryside for a few years and meets a man who is obsessed with building a flying machine.

Eventually the man dies (possibly of the plague)

At the end of the movie she eventually is reunited with her brother and they fly off on the flying maching.

I really want to know what its called.

Please don't post any silly answers unless they are original!

  • What do people who don't believe in evolution believe in?

    Only sensible answers please.

I want to know what they think fossils are.

Do they not believe that people were shorter 500 years ago? Why do they think doors on old houses and graves were smaller? Do they not take this as evidence of the population changing over time?

Do they believe that there were ice ages? WHat do they think happened to plants and animals during this period?

I just want to know places around that people would recommend going to. I will have about 8 days to travel. I don't mind which direction I set off in and am as happy to see nature or cities or both.

I like food so good foodie markets or restaurants would also interest me.

I don't want to spend hours and hours every day on the road thought.

Any ideas appreciated, I am from UK so it will all be new for me anyway.
