Estate and claim of negligence Scotland?

My father passed away on 2012 I got his approval to file claim for medical negligence and he himself wrote letter authorising me to any files notes ect. I have got them and him and my mum are/were married. My dads estate was nothing and my mum was to be left anything.... 7 month after my dad died my mum died too. I as a executor off the will also lawyer whom delt with dads and made mums will had mentioned before my mum died that my plan was to File case for negligence.the firm are now insisting that would form part of my dads estate that would then be my mums.... I disagree as my mother wasn't having anything to do with it and it's me who is putting claim in can someone advise....

I might add..... the negligence claim has not yet happened so there is nothing for my fathers estate and now my mother has passed...... question being if i win a negligence claim for the way my father was medically let down then whom would be due the funds ?

I am a wholesale greetings card merchandiser and supplier, I am director off company and my brother I employ we both have vans and I was wondering if there was a way to insure the vans on one policy. seems a lot off money to insure both separate.100% sales is from our vans .

My father all his life was dedicated to paying his "whole life joint life insurance" since 1982 the wording read "guaranteed the sum assured off £181,000" My father passed away in Aug aged 57. we then realize last year he was in touch with company due to receiving a letter out off the blue saying it was worth £41,000 (huge drop) never in all the years has this happened and his premium only rose. After he contracted ombudsman and the policy was changed to "£81,000"

I am 99% sure they were wrong to change it in the first place. wording read "guaranteed sum assured off" "whole life" Never had this changed and his monthly premium only rose ! Please advise

Hi my dad was diagnosed with SCLC (small cell lung cancer), on 30th Jauary 2012. He has had his 2nd chemotherepy and its so hard watching him go through thishishair has fallen out now he looks so poor,my dad is only 57 he such a hard working man.

My dads cancer has spread to liver and chest, I am aware that there is not a chance off remission due to the spread, my mum on the other hand is not aware. My brother who is 30 was full off hope and i decided to tell him the facts, this chemothepy is only giving us longer with him.

Hi, I am so hurt angry and broken hearted. My dad went into hospital on 26th October for a double hernia operation the went in via the old large scar that was caused 7 years prior to this and back then kidney was removed. So the hernia 1 seemed straight forward but recovery time was really

Bad it all went downhill 3 weeks after opperation, he lost so much weight, was in so much pain ect. He was screaming out to get help or someone that noticed the deterioration in his health, there was 6/7 different medical staff examine him and also he passed the pre opperation examination at the start off October. My dads symptoms got worse & worse. It took until 30 jan this year for us to find out the MRI scan results that had took place over a week prior to this. By time off diagnosis he had small cell lung cancer that spread to liver and winpipe... I am so angry that it took 13 weeks for someone to notice that my dad was covered. My question is , would there have been any that the surgeon that did the operation would have seen this when he had him open ?...... And how long roughly would it have taken to spread xx

The doctor came to see my dad and after having a look at him he also said no. I was not happy with this but thought they must know best.

The deterioration off my dad was rapid, he has lost 3 1/2 stone in 10 weeks , since this he has had a follow up appointment with his surgeon and all in he has seen 8 members off medical staff, with them all not giving any cause off him feeling the way he dose .

I have been with him at doctors so knew all his symptoms, decided myself to do some research before long I came across helicobacter pylori, to my amazement he was showing almost every symptom, I called my own doctor and voiced my concerns , my dad then went to see him who then tested for helicobacter pylori, tests were positive. He started on antibiotic been on them for 4 days and he is still getting worse :( tonight he has text me and told me he is in so much pain and can't go on , he says that he wants to ask to be taken into hospital.

My heart is breaking and I have no idea what to do next. I want him to be better.

I know that there has been negligent staff in this situation and I will deal with this but please can someone give me advice on what to do for the best to make my dad feel better in 1 whole week he has had 3 1/2 hours sleep.

Please help. My dad is a hard working man who never complains about anything :( so him testing me this let's me know how I'll he is .

Should I fight to have him hospitalised ?

He was taken to hospital with suspected broken jaw and cheek, they X-rayed found break in cheek bone and was to b X-rayed next again day on jaw as swelling was to bad. He was kept in hospital and allowed home the next morning (without a further X-ray) this was 3 day's ago . When he woke this morning he has bloodshot eye. Am I worrying over nothing ? He is 13 years old. This is the 1st time he has been attacked :(

Brittish muslim is not want the wedding to take place, is a paper marriage legal ? can he have it annulled and how ?
