  • How do I use .rar file types?

    I want to make a firmware disc to enable multi-region ability on a Denon DVD player. I found a link to the file I need:

    ..and the instructions:

    ...say to download the file and burn it onto a disc as a file system type ISO 9660, then insert it into the DVD player. I've never used .rar files before, nor do I know what ISO 9660 means (I'm pretty good with hardware but terrible when it comes to software).

    Can someone walk me through how to make a disc that the DVD player can read?

  • Can I run two sound cards simultaneously?

    I want to use both digital and analog outputs from my computer and my current soundcard only offered one or the other. I bought another analog card but they're not playing together nicely- I can only seem to get one working at a time by disabling the other one. Is there some kind of sharing conflict going on? And if so, can I get around it so that both cards are enabled at the same time?
