  • Did I ovulate or not?

I normally have pain during ovulation and I have very regular periods. I am overdue for ovulation by a couple of days and I haven't felt any pain this month. I have been keeping track of my temps for the last few months, however and my temperature went up today like it does every month after ovulation. So I'm not sure if I've ovulated or not. Any ideas?

  • What is the chance I'll get an infection?

I just had my Copper T 380 IUD (the kind without the hormones) taken out today because my husband and I want to get pregnant. The doctor told us we should use condoms and that we shouldn't try to get pregnant for a month until he's sure nothing was damaged when he took the IUD out and prescribed me antibiotics to prevent infection. I haven't started the antibiotics yet and my husband and I were intimate. Well, the condom BROKE. I called the hospital and they said I should hold off on the antibiotics until I can talk to the doctor tomorrow. What are my chances of getting an infection that could endanger any child we might have conceived? I know the chances of getting pregnant are about 50/50, but I was wondering if any of you might have any idea of how much I should be worried about infection. I don't want to take the antibiotics until I know for sure I'm not pregnant because it says on the bottle that the pills can harm fetuses.
