Im doing my community studies at school and ive shown interest in building a guitar. I have never built a guitar or used power tools such as a bandsaw. As a community study i would work with somebody who has built guitars so id learn while i do it. I want to build the body from scratch and buy a premade neck. I would like to use a mahogany body with maple top, and try and buy a neck with mahogany and a rosewood fretboard. As for pickups i want to use 2 seymour duncan humbuckers. What would be the cost roughly if i were to try and make a les paul specifications guitar and how long would that take. I need 60 hours minimum working for my community studies.thank you

I have a budget of $400 and i live in australia. I've been playing for around 6 months and i have a squier affinity strat and a fender frontman 10g. I love the guitar though i wish i had an epiphone lp standard, the amp is pretty horrid. I also have a really cheap terrible no name acoustic that i havent played since i got my electric in december. So should i get a new amp or a new acoustic. I've been looking at yamaha fg700s for acoustics and amps ive been looking at the blackstar id core 40 and fender mustang ii. Are there any good amps u could reccomend if u think i should get a new amp. I play mostly rock btw.

I have a squier affinity strat and my guitar teacher said he would sell me a randall amp for 300 that he bought for 600 and would also throw in an overdrive pedal. I know randall are primarily metal amps but would it sound alright through a strat playing rock and blues? I dont wanna buy the amp only for it to sound crap with my squier. I dont know the exact model of amp but it has built in distortion. Any advice is appreciated. Anddo u think this deal is worth it my current amp is a 10 watt frontman that came with the guitar. Been playing 6 months.

I've been playing for 5 months i know all my open chords, i can do a bass run in G, i know the blues scale, i can play power chords and a bit more lead work like hammer ons, pull offs and am learning bends currently. I am also getting into barre chords they shouldnt take too much longer to get down. Also how do i start a band and any other tips are appreciated

Ive been playing for 5 months know all open chords can sorta play barre chords (need more practice but i absolutely hate them and neglect to do them) i know a couple scales and i also do finger excersices(1234 up and down the fret board). Basically i just need a good practise routine so please include anything you would suggest, i basically just wanna improve my skills within a year. Also i take lessons every wednesday in school.

I've been playing for 5 months now i started on a cheap brand acoustic and for christmas i got a squier affinity with a 10g frontman amp i really love the guitar and the amp is tolerable. I have no plans on replacing my squier ever as i feel it is a really good guitar for what it was worth. But im just wondering what the next step would be. Should i save up for a decent acoustic or classical or get an epiphone les paul maybe or wait a couple years or so and get an actual les paul or stratocaster. I'm only 16 btw so i dont have alotta access to money atm.

I am very skinny i am a 16 year old male i weigh 55 kilograms and am approximately 170 cm tall. I have a bad diet i drink about 2 cans of pepsi max a day, dont eat breakfast and dont eat lunch most days unless im at home because i dont eat at school often, i tend to have big portions of. food at dinner. I dont eat alot of fruit and veg. My diet consists mostly of pasta, chicken, rice and sometimes beef mince. I need tips advice to get to a healthy weight. What is a healthy weight for my build btw?

I can play about 15 chords exluding F and barre chords.

I mostly struggle with strumming and timing i tend to either just strum like DDDD etc or DUDUDU etc i like rock and pop songs mostly so preferrably one of them

My mum was/is sick so ofcourse i ******* get sick. Anyway i got cold symptons like bad cough, runny nose, headache, a little warm and of course a super painful throat which ive had for about 5 days now with little to no improvement. Nothing helps it tried butter menthols, hot drinks, cold water, apple juice, hot steamy showers, gargling warm salt water, some of these help it temporarily for an hour or so but this just wont cut it. I dont really wanna go to doctors unless its still bad by monday. I have small red spots at back of mouth. P.S i have not got tonsils i got them out when i was young. Any tips to cure it overnight or at least get rid of pain permanately? I mean 5 days is crazy long never had one last this long.

I bought. A 3ds late last year and pokemon y. Anyway i've been searching for dream drop distance for about 5 months but all stores dont have it. from what ive heard square enix stopped making copies which is odd considering its only been out for like 2 years. I really dont wanna buy it online. Anyone know why they stopped or if they will restock? Im a huge kingdom hearts fan and this is the only game i havent played i really want to play it.

I've been playing for about 4 weeks, i practice at least an hour each day, im getting lessons once a week from a teacher at my school aswell. I can play G, C, D,A,Am,Em, Cadd9, and i think thats all atm maybe Dsus4 i think it might be called too. So i can play 7-8 chords my transition between G,Cadd9,Em,D is relatively fast but A,C and Am are a little slow and i needa work on them. Basically judging by my rate how long would it take to get decent, i can already play a few songs using the 4 note blues. I really wanna join the school band by next year so could i be good enough in about 4 months?

I really want a job so i can get money and have something to do with my time. I'm 16, male, quiet, friendly, shy at first,nervous, i dont cope under huge stress but i can handle a bit, i'm not super fast at things, i'm pretty smart, i can follow orders and listen, im also a respectful , trustworthy and honest person.

Just from those traits what job could. i look for? Sorry its not that descriptive i just cant think what else.

First off. Do i have a steel string guitar or classical. Im pretty sure its steel stringed, it has 18/19 frets. Not sure if very end fret counts as makes muted sound when played. The strings have a bronze colour and smell metallic, it has a pick stopper/guard thing below the resonance hole/thing. It has no gaps to wind the string around on the tuning head which most classical guitars have.

Question 2: i bought some new strings online which i should get next week. They are elixir nano bronze 11-52 acoustic strings. Are these the right strings for my guitar? And do i get one of each string in the pack? It was $20.

Im just worried i got wrong strings for my guitar. So my main. Question is can steel stringed guitars have only 18/19 frets? Thank you

I'm 16 shes 15 we're friends and lately we have been talking alot we both made it clear we like eachother but we havent actually said we like eachother. Today we were walking home from school in a group of ftiends and she wanted to go to the shopping centre just me and her to hang out. So i bought me and her a drink of coke and we sat down and talked. I noticed her fiddling with her hair a lot and she seemed a bit nervous. So was i frankly. So do you think she really likes me and whens the right time to ask her out. she seems to be leaving hints that perhaps she wants me to ask her out.

Yeah it has a great story, mechanics and graphics but other then that i didnt like it that much its one of those games i pick up finish and never play again like assasins creed 3.

I dont understand most of it i love skyrim and fallout so i bought oblivion, i understand the combat system, but everything else is difficult mostly the menu screens etc. Im sure once im use to it it will be easy but yeah. So in short how can i understand the game better
