Should I tell her I miss her?
I met this girl and I began to like her. She was already dating someone. After he dumped her I told her how I felt and she said she wasn't ready for a relationship. Then she started dating someone new. Obviously, not me. I said I think it's best for us not to talk for right now because I didn't want to be 2nd place. and she said it's fine, but it's a bit selfish of me. That we would still talk if I really like her.
I just smile and say hi to her and I've been talking to other girls, but none of them are her. It really sucks seeing her kiss her new boyfriend yet I know it's best for me to stay away. It's like there's a hole.
So, should I tell her I miss her? That I'm not selfish and I just don't want to get in the way of her happiness?
2 AnswersSingles & Dating5 years agoWould I be wrong to just give up on this girl?
I met a girl on an online dating site and we went on a date after about four months of talking. Unfortunately, though we've been talking since then I also have not seen her at all. I would try to schedule more dates when I'd be off work but she would say she's too busy working in an emergency room. It's been three months. Now, she hasn't talked to me in over a week on top of not seeing me in three months. I really like her but, I'm starting to think about giving up on her and attempting to move on to another girl. Today would be seven months since we very first started talking, and is the furthest I've ever gotten with any girl. Would I be wrong to just give up on this girl or should I stick it out?
PS. I made the mistake of looking up the duration between our first date, and the current time. How long I have been waiting was put into more perspective, as it has now been over 100 days.
Sidenote: I haven't used this since I was a teenager! Things have defintely changed. Just bored right now, I guess.
Extra detail: She told me her previous boyfriend did not appreciate that she has a job and that she may not be able to see him all the time. I took this to mean that guy was clingy. If she didn't see this dude for three months at a time, then she left that out.

1 AnswerSingles & Dating6 years agoShouldn't she be happy for me? I really did try to spare her feelings?
I finally told this girl that's liked me for the past few months that I just don't like her back in that way. I also just got into a long distance relationship with a girl after I told her I couldn't do a long distance relationship. I lied to her to try to spare her feelings and we're only a few hours apart. My girlfriend is several states away from me. I feel happy, yet I also feel sad whenever I think about how much I hurt that girl. But my friends tell me if she truly cared about me she'd be happy for me. So shouldn't she be happy for me being happy with my girlfriend?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoWhy should I be forced to feel happy for her?
This girl I liked for the past few months just told me she doesn't like me back. She also just got into a relationship with a long distance guy, but she told me she couldn't handle long distance relationships. It turns out that was just a lie meant to spare my feelings. We're not talking at the moment. My friends are telling me I should feel happy for her if I truly care about her. But why should I? Truth be told I hate her boyfriend, especially since he helped convince her to tell me she doesn't like me-and I'm a bit angry with her for leading me on..
1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoWhy should I be forced to feel happy for her?
A few months ago I met a girl and I started liking her. I let her know this, but she told me she wasn't ready for a relationship. I took this to mean that she didn't like me back- until she told me that we'll see what happens after college in the summer. If neither of us found a significant other, perhaps we could see about dating.
Three months later/three weeks ago, she told me she couldn't handle long distance relationships to keep from telling me she didn't like me. Two weeks ago she told me she didn't like me that way, and the truth that she was going to lie about having a boyfriend whether she had one or not. One week ago she told me she's dating a guy at school.
Yesterday-she told me the truth-the guy's not at her school and it's a long distance relationship. This guy helped her talk to me two weeks ago when she told me she didn't like me by telling her what to say when I responded. He helped her into telling me she wasn't into me. The girl and I are only a few hours apart, but her and her boyfriend are several states apart. She told me I need to get over her and it would be best if we didn't talk for awhile, so we're not talking.
Honestly, I hate this other guy. I'm also a little angry with her too. Some of my friends are saying that if I truly cared about her, I'd be happy for her. But what about me? Why am I always the one that gets screwed over? Am I really the bad guy here for feeling the way I do?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoWhere is Record Navigation located in Microsoft Access 2007/2010?
In my assignment from the book Go! Access 2010 Comprehensive, one instruction reads "Under Categories, click Record Navigation. Under Actions, click Find Record, and then click Next two times. In the text box, type btnFindRecord and then click Finish." I've looked and looked and I haven't found Record Navigation in Access at all. Where is it?
2 AnswersSoftware9 years agoGirls, would you be creeped out if a guy did this?
I met this girl in an arts class and about a month before the semester ended I realized I liked her. We had our program at semester's end, and I tried to tell her how I felt but people kept coming to say hi to her and interrupting me. The girl would just say hi back and smile without saying anything else, when they left she'd turn her attention back to me. (Her mom was one of the interrupters when she introduced herself to me but I didn't mind this at all) The girl only knows that I felt my heart going faster when I'm around her since I didn't get to say "I like you"-some girl just came up and dragged her away.
I didn't know her last name but I saw it on the program paper and used it to find her facebook just to see if she still had a boyfriend like when I first met her (she doesn't). I need to talk to her but I'm too scared to add her because I don't want to come off creepy even though I legitimately know her last name.
She practically knows how I feel now but I still have no idea what she had to say back to me. The alternative is to wait till mid-January when school starts again. So should I add her?

"As I look in the mirror, I see the pain inside
Its so funny how eyes never lie
The memories of your lovin"...
This is a song Portrait sang when they guest starred on family matters. But googling the lyrics yields no results. What song is this?

11 AnswersVideo & Online Games10 years agoIs "maybe another time" woman code for "never"?
A couple months ago this girl I knew for awhile gave me my first kiss
after we talked and I revealed I had never kissed a girl. I wasn't sure if it
was because she liked me or just to get my first kiss out the way.
Recently (over facebook) I asked her out (I said I had a question I
needed to ask her in person and she said just ask her). She said it
depends what day I wanted to go out because it had to be before she
goes out of town this weekend. We agreed on the day then she asked
what time and if I was going to pick her up. I told her the family car got
wrecked and I was hoping she'd be able to meet me there and I'd take
the bus there. She said she "can't do the date this week, maybe another
time."
She doesn't have a car herself, so I guess she couldn't get a ride. Still
part of me feels maybe she doesn't want to go out with me anymore
(based on what other girls did) because I don't have a car. Is that part
wrong?

3 AnswersHouston1 decade agoHow to get a girl alone?
There's this girl I like, but I only know one thing about her. She doesn't know much about me either and we've only talked on some small occasions. I have her number and the 2 times I've called her just to ask a question, she answered. I didn't like her then. Now I do, but I need to get her to get to know me somehow; I figure if she did, maybe she'd like me too. So how can I get some real face time with her, eventually leading to me asking her out on a date?
9 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoWhat do you think of mainstream perception of video games vs film?
For an example, on Thanksgiving I was demonstrating the video game "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves" to my mother and older sister. When the characters would occasionally use salty language (S word, B word, etc) and when there was a scene of implied sex in the beginning of the game they were very shocked. My sister (who's occasionally played games since the 8 bit days vs my mother who's never touched a controller) asked what the game's rating was to which I explained it's Teen which is equivalent to PG 13. But then they watched The Departed which according to Wikipedia uses 237 F words once every 1.56 minutes and there was nary a flinch.

4 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoTexas says "Violent games are bad, but guns are a-ok"?
Texas' Attorney General has shown support of a California law that reached the Supreme Court that if passed would restrict the sale of video games containing depictions of "deviant" violence towards humans to minors. While this sounds good on paper, in practice it is awful as it treats the game medium unfairly from movies, books, music, etc. This also would lead to further censorship of other media.
However, Texas' governor has shown support for a law that if passed, professors and students will be allowed to carry guns on college campuses. So, pressing buttons on a piece of expensive plastic containing chips and wires inside is bad, but carrying real guns to school is supposed to be ok? Where's the sense and logic in that?
