  • Has your dog experienced spay incontinence?

I'm considering spaying my pug, but after reading a considerable amount of information online, I do have concerns for her health. The pros and cons are pretty evenly balanced - some health risks/benefits from spaying, some risks/benefits from not spaying.

The one big one that's causing me to hold off on it is spay incontinence. I've read in several places that some smaller dogs have trouble holding their pee after they've been spayed. It seems to weaken their urinary system somehow, and they tend to "leak."

If this crops up after being spayed, the only solution is to keep the dog on medication for (anywhere from) several months to life.

Has anyone experienced this? Is this a large enough concern to prevent me from getting my Pup spayed?

  • Preparing for my (US) marriage visa interview - what do I need to know?

My husband is petitioning for me (he's a US citizen and I'm Canadian). I'm currently in the US and will have my interview here in a month or two.

I'm wondering if any of you have done this and if you have any tips/suggestions/advice. I've read that they'll ask questions about our relationship/marriage, as well as questions about each other to see if the marriage is genuine - that part's easy, but I'm just looking for some specifics to be prepared for. Also, what kind of stuff (if anything) would I need to know about the country, government, etc.?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

  • What do black eyed peas have to do with New Years?

I recently moved to Texas, and stores were all promoting black eyed peas leading up to New Years. There were featured recipes and deals all over, and it seems to be some kind of tradition. Does anyone know what the connection is?

  • Canadian citizen, married to US citizen - How to get my name changed?

I'm Canadian, and I recently married a US citizen. I'm living in the US, working on my green card, and my lawyer said that in the US the name change is automatic when you get married. I'm not sure if it's the same for Canadians though. Does anyone have experience with this? What steps would I need to take?

Please only answer if you know what you're talking about. Guesses don't help - even if you're well-meaning. I've done some research online, but some info is conflicting, so I'm wondering if I can get first-hand info from someone who has gone through this process. Thanks!

  • Which beers contain HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP?

I've tried researching this online, but there is little to no information that I can find. Does anyone know which breweries do/do not use HFCS in their beers? I am particularly interested in Shiner and Sam Adams - neither of which have any info on this available. Any info on other brews/breweries would be helpful as well. Thanks!

  • Is there a program available that will help me to create a simple random number generator type of application?

I want to create an application that can run RPG rules and allow the user to put in their own values in order to find the results desired. The problem is that I have no programming skills whatsoever, so I'm looking for a program that can assist me in that similar to game maker software. Anyone know of any?
