  • Doberman insecurity growling help?

About six months ago we rescued our second dog, a doberman. She's a quirky girl that started off very insecure, food/toy possessive, never willing to yield or submit to us. Now she's still a quirky girl, but has overcome a lot of her past habits. She's a sweet, loving girl that now loves meeting new dogs/people, LOVES puppies and kids, she's awesome.

However, she still struggles at night. When we are relaxing at home with the window open, she will hear something, anything outside and start growling. Its an "alerting us" growl, and not an i'm about to attack growl, but we're struggling getting her to stop. At first i couldn't even get her to back down at all. Now she will at least stop and submit to me. But when she does it at night at the foot of our bed, i'm not in the position to get her to submit easily. Any dobie fans out there have any suggestions that may help???

FYI I've read all kinds of books on dog psychology/training/obedience and am the go to person among our friends for dog training, this isn't our first rodeo, but she's giving me a run for my money!

  • What to add to a Halloween costume?

My fiancée is a Denver Broncos fan, I'm a San Diego Chargers fan. We are going to dress up as "Awkward Sunday" for Halloween, each one wearing our team's gear. We were thinking about bloodying each other up and wrapping our knuckles in boxing tape or something. What else or what should we add to the costume? 10 pts for creative idea!

  • Do you regret not going to your 10 year high school reunion?

My 10 year was on Saturday and I did not attend. I had family in town and prioritized my time better to be spent with them than old high school buddies. I now fear that i will regret having not gone, thoughts?

  • What happened to my wireless?

My Dad has a wireless router set up in his office. A couple of rooms over is his living room and for the last year or so has had perfect wireless (802.11g) while sitting in his recliner in the living room. This weekend it stopped and the range has been cut in half. Thinking it was his wireless router, he went and bought another one, only to have both of them only work about half the distance as before.

What would cause a sudden lack of range in the wireless router? We are relatively technically savvy, but with all other things constant, why would he lose his wireless? Will an 802.11n be any different?

    Thanks all.

  • Which processor to get?

I'm shopping for a new computer and have been pricing some out and my biggest concern is which processor. I know that anything i buy will scream compared to what i have know, but i'd still like to know how the two compare. All the articles i've seen online are outdated and i'm having a hard time getting good answers. Here's what i'm considering:

    [== Quad Core ==] AMD Phenom X4 9650 Quad-Core CPU w/ HyperTransport Technology )

    VS.

    Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q8400 (4x 2.66GHz/4MB L2 Cache/1333FSB)

Anyone shed some light on these two?

About the traffic lights on freeway onramps? They clearly say, 2 CARS PER GREEN, and yet every idiot i've gotten behind this week goes one at a time!

  • i need a womans advice?

So my girl and I are in love. Its a serious relationship, about 8 months in. She's a knockout, I'm average looking. I told her she was beautiful the other night and she told me I was handsome. Now someone back me up on this: nobody under the age of 40 should be called handsome. Right?

    I'm 27, she's 25.

    Little help?
