PS4 controller: Rusty screws?
So. I've had my PS4 since launch in November. I have been playing it quite frequently. I've come across a problem I never thought of even being possible.
We all know that the buttons on a controller can get stick or out of alignment. This is typically when you go to Youtube.com and watch a video on how to take apart your controller to fix this problem.
So I try.. I turn my controller over.. And there are two rusty screws. The two screws closest to you(not the ones by the triggers).
#1: Why are they rusty.
#2: I can't fix this damn controller if I can't take these screws out.
#3: Is it even possible?
#4: Why did I pay ~60$ for such a mediocre problem??
It's not like I droped this thing in water or something. This can only be the result of my hands sweating, which, as a gamer, happens A LOT. The screws on my multiple PS3 controllers NEVER rusted. Very disappointed. Definitely giving Sony a call.

2 AnswersPlayStation7 years agoHow can I organize thousands of songs into folders?
Ok. I just have a bunch of Final Fantasy music. When I got it from all of my CD's I had them all in little folders which was organized by albums. Now I began to tag all of my music and bring it over to my PS3
The reason I wanted to bring it to my Ps3 is because the PS3 can tag music files and albums very easily and I liked that. I was able to easily sort albums and add album art.
The problem came when I wanted to overwrite the library on my computer with my modified music from my PS3. I did it but the problem is I put all of the music files in ONE folder. So I need to now catalog about 2000 songs into their own folder! That would take HOURS!
Is there any program that can organize my individual albums into their own folders? It would really save me a lot of time and tedious work. :x
Thanks
1 AnswerSoftware8 years agoHow do I retrieve my identification documents?
Hi. My name is Morzy.
I'm in a bit a bind over this. I just finished high school and I need to snatch me some new documents. I don't have a SSN card, birth certificate or state ID of any kind.
How in the world do I get all of these back?
Thanks
1 AnswerOther - Politics & Government8 years agoConnection speed required for the PlayStation 4?
I like my connection speed and ISP. But I've really been wondering if it will be enough for the PS4.
I pay $30 per month and get 15MB down and 3MB up.
Will these numbers be fine for the majority of the PS4's features like DVR, streaming games, ect.
Thanks

3 AnswersPlayStation8 years agoJapanese themed books?
Hi. One thing I really like about Art, History and reading in general is learning about different cultures beyond my own.
So right now I'm reallly interested in Japanese themed books. I've already read:
Shogun - James Clavell
Gai-jin - James Clavell
Both were set between 1600-1800 and are non-fiction.
So.. Do you know any books I might like?:)
Thanks
3 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoBioshock Infinite: Alternate Storyline? - WARNING: SPOILERS?
How do I choose which storyline to play through?
I heard there are two ways you can play this game. One of them being Comstock and the other being Booker. The problem is I don't know where these so called RPG choices are in the game.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
3 AnswersVideo & Online Games8 years agoCOD: Black Ops II - Search & Destroy players?
Heya. If you're anything like me you enjoy S&D because it gives you a challenge: stay alive. I like it because it forces people to be smart and fast with the one life they have. The ONLY proplem I have is people turn to camping because they utterly fail and staying alive in general. If you can shoot something faster than they can shoot you then you should be fine.
So hey. If you play S&D like this then it would be great fi you can add me. I do have a few friends that play it but it's always good to have someone on hand to play with. If there is one thing I hate it's relying on a publicly matched team.
I also play Zombies but not as much.

I wanted a different multiplayer game so I decided to buy Crysis 3. what bugs me is I don't have the first or second Crysis.
So what is your opinion on the story behind Crysis? I have not looked into it one bit but the multiplayer is very interesting.
Thanks.
3 AnswersVideo & Online Games8 years agoPlayStation 3: Warranty question?
Alright, we all know that the PS3 and accessories come with a 1-year warranty IF they are purchased new.
Now my question is when I add 2 years of warranty on my PS3 via Protection Plan does it ALSO add a warranty to my PS3 controller I purchased with the PS3?
Thanks.
1 AnswerPlayStation8 years agoIs there a game that reflects the ORIGINAL Splinter Cell novel by tom Clancy?
The book was short and sweet and I loved it. I understand there are MANY Splinter Cell games but is there actually one that replicates the events and story that are in the book?
Thanks.
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games8 years agoDeus Ex: Human Revolution free with PlayStation Plus?
Heya.
I really want to play this game. Unfortunately I'm so cheap I've waited all this time for stinky Sony to give it to me through PlayStation Plus.
So my question is has this game EVER been free with PlayStation Plus before? Because if it has then I'm waiting for nothing because I'm sure they don't ofer things free twice because people would probably complain.
Thanks.
2 AnswersPlayStation8 years agoUsing two Bluetooth headsets on the same PS3?
Hi there.
My brother and I share my Official bluetooth PS3 headset and have no problem with it because I charge it whenever I get the chance.
But now he wants one for himself because this one is mine? Can we use two of these on the same PS3 for a game like Black Ops II during splitscreen or All-stars Battle Royale?
Thanks.
2 AnswersPlayStation8 years agoIs this De-ja-vu? If so, why?!?
Right, I don't know what this is, I've put up with it as long as I can remember now. I prompted Y!A with this once before but with no luck. Let's hope the 2nd time is better, neh?
Is this De-ja-vu? I don't know. I see something in my mind, usually a image of myself doing something from a 3rd person point of view. Then hours, days, weeks and even months later I find myself doing exactly what I saw in my head! EXACTLY what I viewed, no different! Now at first I usually dismissed the image and thought it to be nonsense but now I recognize it for what it is.
This is the best example I can give you..
I was sitting in a desk/chair combination in my art class but the desk was not in it's normal place, I was separated from the rest of the class, isolated. At first I thought it was nonsense because there was no reason for the desk to be over there. Then months later I found myself living that image I saw. I was quite shocked.
Am I the only one that does this? Is this normal?
Thanks.
1 AnswerPsychology8 years agoWhich PS collection to play first?
I haven't really touched any of the PlayStation classics and was wondering which collection was the best(in your opinion, naturally) and worth getting? I know theres a collection for Sly, Ratchet, DMC, MGS and perhaps others.
These are obviously a wide range of games. Which would you recommend as far as story, difficulty, price, trophy difficulty, gameplay, time required and your personal opinion. And please answer if you have played them, it would only make sense and ensure a honest accurate answer instead of someone reading a review.
Oh yes, one more thing. I plan to buy them from the PS Store and assume they are all on the PS Store. So please notify me if they are only disc version.
Thanks.
4 AnswersPlayStation8 years agoPottery: Alternative wedging techniques?
Heya. I've been a potter for about 4 years now. I've never had the problem with stuff blowing up in the kiln, I've exploded maybe 4 projects, not bad.
But I'm a horrible wedger(I think). and right now I'm starting to make projects that require much more clay than usual. Typically I do the cone-wedge but I fear that is not enough because theres just soo much clay.
So, do you know any wedging techniques I could do? I know the monkey-face and cone-wedging technique. A video would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
2 AnswersSculpture8 years agoI haven't consumed water raw for months or more?
I can't remember the last time I just consumed water alone. I don't really like just water.
I drink tea, Lipton tea. Nearly every day I drink 50~100 ounces of tea, usually nothing else except fruit juice(for nutritional reasons).
So, is this healthy? More importantly, is so much tea healthy?
Thanks.
4 AnswersDiet & Fitness8 years agoIs Stoneware oven-safe?
I swear, I've been forgetting to ask my Pottery teacher this a thousand times.
Is it oven safe? Can I make a platter/dish and just pop it in the oven? Could I leave a cup over a open flame and just let it heat up? What is the risk besides the object getting very hot?
Thanks.
3 AnswersSculpture8 years agoI haven't touched one PS3 exclusive(1st party). Which would you recommend first?
When I say exclusive I mean their primary games that are known in PlayStation. Games like Sly, Ratchet, MGS, Uncharted, ect.
Back in the PS2 days all I grew up on was Final Fantasy games. Ever since I got a PS3 I never looked into exclusive because I was still busy with other games or planned to play others soon upon release.
Just give me some games and reasons why. Don't just go out and say "It's awesome." or "It's the best game ever!". Try and give explanations, please.
Thanks.
3 AnswersPlayStation8 years agoPottery: My glaze turned out WRONG?
Heya, I hope you're knowladgable with Pottery, specifically glaze!
I created this glaze called Jay Blue. someone al;ready developed it and I used their formula.
The suspected outcome was a very vibrant glossy blue, which si what the formula claled for. The problem is it turned out as a cloudy dull(not glossy) light blue glaze. I definitely cannot use this because I specifically needed dark blue.
I used:
Whiting.
Frit 11945(I think?)
Feldspar
Zinc OXIDE
Ball Clay
My question is do you know the most common reason as to why this glaze turned out dull/cloudy and less color than intended? Perhaps it's because there was too much of something or too less? Maybe the glaze itself was put on too thick? I don't know..
I'll update the question later with mroe accurate details.
Thank you.
