I have a cold. I've had it for about four days now. I have some very strange cold symptoms that I haven't had before....or at least I've never noticed having them before. The symptoms are: cough, nasal congestion, hot sweats, no muscle soreness, no fever, no loss of appetite (I've actually been eating more than normal since I've been sick), and I had a really bad sore throat for a day or two (but that's going away).

Can anybody explain to me why I would have symptoms like this with a common-cold or the flu? The main thing that's really getting me is that I have the appetite that I have while I'm sick...I never have an appetite when I'm sick.

Is it me or does it seem like there are so many (under 21) people on here with self esteem and confidence issues?

I think some of the people on here need to man up/ put their big girl panties on!

there is this guy, that i've been talking to for a couple of years, that sorta tells me that he loves me. the reason for "sorta" is probably because i've told him that i'm not ready for a serious relationship right now. he never comes out and says that he loves me but will say it in regards to what i'm doing or something i've said. he has never come straight out and said..."i love you". his actions sometimes confuse me. one minute it'll seem like he's really into just me and then there will come a time when i hear that he is really into someone else. he says he wants me and we could make it work. with all of that being said...how do i know that it is more than just love and that he is truly in love with me? is there a way to differentiate between infatuation, lust, and love when you've been intimate with a person for a couple of years?
