2 1/2 yr old son potty training?
My son is 2 1/2 and has been doing very well with the potty for about 6 months now for peeing. He goes to preschool and they help out as well. Even in the middle of playing or watching his favorite cartoon, he will jump up and run to the potty yelling , "I gotta pee pee". I purchased that peter potty urinal and I think that helped with him peeing because he gets to stand up like daddy. However, I do have a potty seat to go over the regular toilet when he has to do #2. When I catch him in the act I will sit him on the toilet and he will go, but if I do not catch him, he will hide and go on himself. Then he wants it off of him immediately. I have tried everything. Even when I put him in his big boy undies, he will still do #2 in them. He is so smart and comprehends very well, but I don't know what the problem is with doing #2 in the pot or toilet. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, this is so frustrating.
3 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoWhat to give a 2 1/2 yr old?
My son has diarrhea that has made his bottom red. It just started today, no fever but a cough and congestion. Now runny nose. He is behaving normally and is not complaining of pain only on his bottom so I put some balmex on the redness. He got the flu shot last week. Don't want to run to emergency room for nothing but if not better tomorrow morning will take him to his pediatrician. But for the night just wondering if there is anything I can give him for the diarrhea or just let it run its course. Did give him pedialyte.
4 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoWhy does my 2 yr old sleep this way?
My son is 2 and for about 5 months now he sleeps on his face or hands with his butt in the air... He seems comfortable and sleeps well like this. I am just wondering if this means something or it is normal. Only serious responses please, thank you

4 AnswersParenting1 decade agoHalloween costume suggestions?
My son was invited weeks ago to a Halloween party at a friend's house. However, the mom just told me today that the parents have to dress up also. So, does anyone have any costume ideas from just things that could be around the house. Maybe l will get a wig or something. I don't know. Give me some suggestions.
2 AnswersHalloween1 decade agoPotty training a boy?
Is 18 months too early to try to potty train a boy? My son only seems interested in the potty when my husband takes him into the bathroom with him. Other than that, he will just play on the potty or pick it up and throw it around the house. He will say "wet wet" when he has already peed in his pamper. Also, he doesn't seem bothered by a wet pamper. He does pretty well at taking off his own clothes but just not interested in the pot. Friends have told me it is too soon. Just want to know what you think or any success stories of your son being potty trained before 3.
14 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoHow to stop my 17 month old to stop using a pacifier?
My son is 17-months old. He is very intelligent and bright. He has almost a 50 word vocabulary and sings also. The day of his first birthday, I threw out all bottles and he has been using a cup ever since. He is a very active boy that loves to do what most boys love to do. The only problem I am having is getting him to give up his pacifier or "tasi" as he calls it. He only takes it at nap and bed time, but it is getting on my nerves. I hate to see him with it in his mouth because I feel he can do so much more like a big boy, that he should not have that pacifier. Of course every time I have tried to take it away, no one in the house gets any sleep. My husband believes he will grow out of it, but I don't want him to be 4 or 5 and still wanting a pacifier. Another thing is that if we are out all day he never needs it even when he falls asleep, it is only when we are home or at grandma's house. Please give me some tips that are tried and true.
