  • Reciting this dua between the two sajdahs?

I just read that it is wajib to recite Rabbighfirlee (O Allah forgive me) between the two Sajdahs.

    http://www.islamicawakening.com/viewarticle.php?ar...

It says on this website, under waajibat of salah

I never read, or even heard of this before. No other sites mention it.

    Is it true?

  • Saying Takbeer when changing postures in salah?

If Im praying alone, do I need to say Takbeer when transitioning to different postures of salah (i.e going from qiyam to ruku, ruku to sujood etc...)?

If the answer is yes, Do I need to say the takbeers out loud in an audible voice, or silently?

What is the ruling on this if im praying behind an Imam? Do I need to say the Takbeers with the imam when changing postures?

    Is it a sunnah?

  • Uknowingly making a mistake in salah?

What if you make a mistake in salah that will make it void or make sajdah sahw necessary, and you never realize your mistake? You go on to complete your salah and you never realize (for the rest of your life) that you messed up that salah.

Will that salah be accepted by Allah (swt)?

Keep in mind, from the worshippers point of view, the salah was prayed perfectly and he expects it to be accepted. The worshipper never finds out that he made a mistake.

  • Zakat al-Fitr question?

If the head of the family forgot to pay it for you because you were unable to, is there still sin upon you?

  • Does a housewife have to pay zakat?

Does a housewife have to pay zakat.

A housewife does not work, so technically all the money belongs to her husband.

If a father gives his son/daughter allowance and the son/daughter saves the money until it reaches nisab, does it become obligatory on the son/daughter to pay zakat. Technically its the fathers money, so do they still have to pay zakat?

  • How does zakat work??

Ok, so Im a 15 year old Muslim boy living in the United States.

Can anyone explain to me clearly how zakat works.

I donate some money (like $5 per week) to my local masjid every Jum'uah and I know thats isn't really my obligatory zakat but I do it any way.

So when does zakat become obligatory on me, when I get a job and can financially support my self?

Also, how does one pay zakat. I read somewhere that you have to donate 5% of your earnings. Does that mean 5% of all your money that you earn in a year, or what?

    A few more questions please.

    - What If when Im older Im not able to financially support myself, or im poor. Will zakat still be obligatory on me?

    - Who exactly do I pay my zakat to?

Please, if you can answer as many questions as you can, preferably all, jazakallah.

  • Saying Tasleem out loud?

When praying Fard salah, when the imam says tasleem out loud, should the muqtadi (followers of imam) also say the tasleem in an audible voice, or should they say it in a whisper, or not at all and just turn their heads right and left?

  • Order of surah's recited in salah?

    read this:

    http://askaquestionto.us/question-answer/salah/wha...

it says that in salah, you are supposed to recite the surahs after al fatiha in the order in which they come in the Qur'an. Like if you recite surah al ikhlas in the first rakah, then in the second rakah you have to recite a surah that comes after it I(al-Falaq or Nas).

It is makruh to go backwards. Is this true?

Also your suppsoed to recite long surah in the first rakah, and shorter one in the second rakah?

I dont get it, why does the order, and length matter. I thought you could recite any surah you want in any order and it wouldn't matter.

  • Do you have to recite the whole surah in Salah?

What If I know the first 10 ayahs of surah al-baqarah, can I recite those in salah instead of the whole surah?

Or say the last 10 verses of surah al-Qaf?

  • Missed beginning of Isha Jamah?

I went to my local mosque to pray Isha salah in congregation.

I showed up a little late a missed the first rakah completely. When I said takbeeratul-ihram, the jamat was already at the second rakah, before the ruku.

So in the 4th and final rakah, I only recited tashahud, and when teh imam said the tasleem, I got up to make up the first rakah that I missed.

Did I make it up correctly? Should I have also made up the second rakah, since I missed part of that too?

  • Will my witr prayer be accepted?

I was praying the 3 witr after Isha.

On the third rakat, I forgot to make dua-e-qunoot and instead went straight into prostration.

I didn't realize the mistake I had made until after I finished reciting tashahud and was halfway through durood.

I know your supposed to do sajda sahw right after tashahud, but I had already passed that point. But I went ahead and performed sajda sahw anyway, right after durood.

Will my sajda sahw and witr salah be accepted?

I couldn't repeat it either, because the prophet(SAW) forbade us from praying two witr's in one night.

  • Reciting Qur'an in Salah?

What is the minimum number of verses you need to recite in one rakah of salah for it to be valid?

I read somewhere that you have to recite at least 3 verses?

But then I also read of accounts where the Prophet and his companions sometimes recited the same verse over and over again in the salah. Is there a certain number of times you need to recite that same verse for the salah to be valid?

So is it permissible that I ayat-ul kursi in my salah over and over again?

  • Abu Talib in Hellfire!!!?

I dont understand, I have read in various places that Abu talib will go to hell:

    http://www.ahmadjibril.com/students/hellfire.html

    http://darultavhid.com/en/forum/index.php?topic=53...

Apparently he will be entering the highest level (least punishment) of hellfire, and Muhammad (SAW) will intercede for him on the day of Judgment to lessen his punishment.

What I dont get Is why Abu Talib will be going to hell?

This shocked me alot, as I have always read that The Prophets (SAW) Uncle did nothing but support him in the fight for Islam, and loved him like he was his own son. Abu Talib was one of the Prophets (SAW) most endeared relatives.

When he died in the year 619, it was even called the "Year of Sorrow", because the Prophet was very sad.

Can anyone clarify for me exactly why Abu Talib is going to hell, wasn't he a righteous man?

  • Is my Dhur prayer valid?

Today I came home late, I thought I missed Dhur salah but I looked at the time end realized I still had about 5 minutes left. So I decided to go ahead and pray the 4 Fard.

I made wudhu really quick, and was on my second rakah when the Adhan for Asr sounded off.

I continued my Dhur salah to the end.

    Is my prayer valid?

How many rakahs do you have to pray before time is up for your whole prayer to be valid?

  • Missing part of Jamat?

Today I came to the Mosque late and missed the first Rakah of Dhur in Jamat. I started exactly when everyone else was at the second rakat.

So I finished prayer with the Jamat.

Should I have made up that first rakat missed.

One of my friends told me that after the final salam, I should have said salam to the right, and got up again to make up the 1st rakat that I missed.

    But I didn"t do that.

I actually re-did the whole prayer by myself, because I was confused so Just to be safe I repeated the whole prayer.

So what do you do when you miss the 1st rakat of a Jamaat prayer?

  • Saying "Allahu akbar" in Salah?

When you say the opening takbeer for Salah, do you say it out loud or whisper it low to yourself?

Also, I know that in the loud prayer (Fajr, Maghrib, Isha) you have to say "Allahu Akbar" out loud everytime you chnage position (qiyam to ruku you say takbeer, going down to sajda you say takbeer, coming up from sajda etc...)

But what about the silent prayer (Dhur, Asr)?

Do you NOT say Allahu akbar at all for when changing postures? (except the opening takbeer of course)

or do you say "Allahu Akbar" in a low voice only you can here?

    Clarify please.

    thanks.

  • Is this permissible (salah)?

Ok, so i have shirts that I wear with certain pictures on them, like skulls, animals and other living things.

And I know that performing salah while wearing these shirts is makruh or haram (I forget which, does anyone know, and does it nullify your prayer?) so I change into a different shirt before starting salah if I am at home.

But sometimes, I pray at school (by the time I get home I miss Dhur prayer So I pray it at school), is it permissible for me to turn my shirt inside out if I just happened to wearing that type of shirt.

If I am wearing a shirt that I can't pray in, I cant change into another shirt at school, so can I turn that shirt inside out?

This will validate my salah right, and not make it makruh correct?
