Cultural Paradox

I teach high school physics and physical science (in Arkansas, since one of you wondered). I have been a rockhound and amateur geologist since my youth. I am a Christian and I have educational backgrounds in physics and sociology. I believe in the value of a free exchange of ideas without being insulted or attacked. There are no stupid questions or answers. Poor ones are only the result of immaturity, lack of expertise or a failure to think clearly. I also believe that anyone who keeps their answers and questions private is attempting to evade responsibility for their statements, although I do sympathize with those people who are being and have been harassed.
