  • Is there any way to get better at Algebra?

I'm taking it as a prerequisite in order to eventually go into making video games. Problem is, I have always struggled with Algebra in general, with only a few things I have ever been able to actually learn. Is there any site or course or any other suggestions other than "Practice, practice, practice!" Because the "practice" I do hasn't helped. It's where I get stuck to begin with.

  • Really weird semi-re-occuring dream.?

I had a dream where I'm in a small town in the middle of a forest, and I know it like I had been there when I was little, but I have never been to this place that I can recall. Anyways, the weird part is, is that there is a family there that are friends of mine (never actually met these people, FYI) and they have a daughter about my age (never remember the face, but it's crystal clear in the dream), and here's the weird part. They have a haunted house behind theirs that I had visited in a previous dream, saw the blinders close, walked in the door, saw a container of pills standing up on the floor, looked away, and then they rolled into my ankle, and I screamed and ran out. Back to the present dream, the ghost was able to take a shadow like form and occasionally posses the mother. And then all of a sudden, we go to a bar of sorts and there are people I went to school with all gathered for a reunion. Only problem was, is that some I went to school with in elementary, some in junior high, and some in high school. And then before I could get much further, I woke up. So, what was I dreaming about? Because I have no idea.

  • Is Obama REALLY bringing change?

He is advocating the bail-outs, keeping the Bush tax-cuts, and hiring a majority of the former Clinton staff (as well as Hilary herself apparently) to be in his cabinet. I have often said he was just a well spoken politician but have been spoken down to as if he were the real deal. Yeah, the real deal when it comes to being a politician with a lot of flair.

  • What the hell is up with this "NWO" crap!?

So far, the only thing I have gotten was when it was said during the collapse of the Soviet Union, which makes sense since it WAS a world changing event, and that hopefully a "new world order" would take the place of the Cold War.

  • How many of you feel that ALL states need to have "Hate Crime Laws?"?

My state, Wyoming, does not. And we are not a "backwards, hick, intolerant" state. Far from it. We are the kind of people that are "Live and let live, so long as you don't shove your beliefs in our faces, if you do, we hit you in the face."

  • Why is it that those who cry out "Seperation of Church and State,"...?

Tend to have personal problems when someone who is religious and holds a government office? Especially if they have, say, a picture of Jesus or a crucifix? If that is what others believe, who is to say that they have to take those down? Not to mention the phrase itself came from a letter from Thomas Jefferson to an aquantence of his. The Constitution only says, AND implies that no religion will be made the religion of the country.

  • Why do people continously say "Seperation of Church & State!" when...?

the Constitution has no such thing but says simply "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof?"

In other words, for those of you that say "Seperation of Church and State!", they will not make any religion the main one of the US. That is why the US is not a Chrisitan Nation even though the majority is Christian. It says nothing that people cannot be religous upon entering the office, or going by their own personal beliefs when passing laws and such.

  • Is it just me, or are some answers that call religion evil getting annoying?

I've been seeing it more and more on here lately, and it is really starting to bug me. And this seems to some from those who call others intolerant. Yet I just got done reading several answers saying that they would do away with religion one way or another. The reason this bugs me is because I'm Roman Catholic, but I have plenty of Atheist friends, they don't say anything close to this, and actually respect others for their beliefs. And for some reason, I get the feeling that some of those people actually think that Communism is the way to go.

  • Does anyone think the following is a bit funny?

Politically correct version of "How babies are born"

Child- Momma, where do babies come from?

Mother- Well, when an evil man and a gracious woman have feelings for each other (at least the woman, men are all barbaric savages), the man "legally" rapes the woman for one night, the next day, with absolutely NO consideration, the man has impregnated the woman. And to this day, that woman wishes that she had had an abortion because her child turned out to be a boy.

    child-Is that child me, momma?

    Mother- Yes, you little ingrate.

  • A question pertaining to everyone in Politics section.?

How many people on here claim to be a normal liberal/conservative and in turn, post an insulting question? I am a fiscal conservative, but I have seen cooks on both sides. And people, don't deny it, I know many of you DO throw insulting (and at times, stupid) questions back and forth.
