Can my father give me a handgun as a graduation gift? (Michigan)?
In the state of Michigan, is it legal for me to pick out the handgun I want as my graduation gift? There will not be any exchange of money between my and my father, so technically, it is not a straw purchase.
I will be 20.
6 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoCan I use my father's handgun at the range? (Michigan)?
I am 19 and live in Michigan
I know that you can purchase a handgun and ammo from a private seller when you are 18. I also know that someone can give you a handgun as a gift at the age of 18.
What I do not know is that, with my father's consent, can I take his handgun to the range by myself? Can I also shoot with a friend that's 18?
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoIs this a good credit score?
I recently got my first credit card and it says
Your credit score
L2C: 765
I'm just wondering if that's good or bad. I'm assuming the higher, the better? I'm not entirely sure.
And if it is good, how come I have good credit even though I've never had a credit card before?
4 AnswersCredit8 years agoCan I buy products to review then return them?
I am looking to start a tech review channel on YouTube. As I do not currently have the most up to date products, I must buy them. (I assume no one would want a review on products 2-3 years old).
However, I do not have the funds to buy (and keep) a lot of products. Would it be possible to buy an electronic, unbox it, review it and then return it?
If so, what stores would there not be a restocking fee? I know Costco has a very lenient return policy, but I am looking for more options that may carry very up to date electronics and will let me return the item even if it is open.

1 AnswerOther - Electronics8 years agoWhat do they mean by rifles?
At my local gun range, they said you have to be 18 to rent a rifle and 21 to rent a handgun. I am only 18 , so I can only rent a rifle.
When they say rifle, does that include assault rifles? (They have that there)
Also, why is it that you can rent a rifle at 18, but not a handgun?
6 AnswersHunting8 years agoWill China clothes fit me?
Last time I went, I was a small and 32x32 and the clothes there barely fit me.
Now I'm a medium and 36x32. Do you think they'll have clothes in my size there?
3 AnswersChina8 years agoWorking out while on vacation in China?
Not entirely sure if this goes in the travel or fitness section, so I'll just post it here.
I'm going to China for two months (Kongmoon City, Guangdong) and was wondering if there were any gyms there and safe supplements, like whey protein.
I'll be staying with relatives, so there is no hotel gym I can use. I doubt my relatives will know of any gym. And I would think that my relatives would think something like whey protein would be dangerous.
Any info would be great.
1 AnswerChina8 years agoCould I bring back airsoft/bb guns and blades from China?
I'm going to Hong Kong and Guangzhou and would like to bring back some knives/swords and airsoft guns. I was wondering if they are allowed on buses, trains and checked luggage.
I will be taking a bus to and from Hong Kong and Guangzhou and I will be flying back from Hong Kong.
I live in Michigan.
2 AnswersChina8 years agoShould I quit McDonalds after 3 months?
I technically started in November and only had about a shift a week. My AP exams are coming up and I want to focus more on school and after that I will be out of the country for two months.
Would it look bad if I quit after only working 2-3 months? Would it be frowned upon my future employers? Would it be better to leave McDonalds out of my resume all together or put down that I only worked 2-3 months? And lastly, if I say that my resignation will be effected on (lets say) March 3, 2013, would I still go in for work or no? And do I return my uniform when I pick up my last check?
I will be writing a letter of resignation and giving two weeks notice.

2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoIs the Canon EF 70-300mm III USM lens decent?
Found one used for $100.
Was just wondering if I should get it.
Is it really soft? How is the AF speed? Low light conditions?
Yes, I have read some reviews online, but just wanted more opinions on it.
4 AnswersCameras8 years agoHow to get good shots at an auto show?
It seems to me that most pictures at auto shows are just snap shots.
And then I see some that are very well done.
Just want some tips to get more than just snap shots at an indoor auto show.
I have Canon 600D, 18-55mm, 40mm, and 50mm lens. And a flash.
Will the kit lens do just fine? And would I need my flash?
2 AnswersPhotography8 years agoGear for shooting an auto show?
Going to an auto show soon and was wondering what I should bring.
I'm just going to stick with one body, one lens.
And since I've only got the T3i, I just need help with the lenses.
I have a 18-55 kit lens, 40mm f/2.8 and 50mm f.1,8
Which one should I bring? Should I also bring a flash?
Any other advice?
2 AnswersPhotography8 years agoIs MetroPCS a good company?
Thinking about switching to metro's $40 4g plan.
I was just wondering how it was. I live in Michigan. How is the coverage?
If I go to a different state or different part of the state, will I be charged a roaming fee?
Thinking about getting the Samsung S3 with the plan.

1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans8 years agoWhat martial arts to learn for survival?
I don't want to learn a martial arts for tournaments, or belts, or award. I want something for survival.
I was thinking about Krav Maga, but it just seems to be "just hit them in the groin" kind of thing.
I want something like they teach in the marines. I was thinking about joining the military, but I've chosen a different path.
Any suggestions?
8 AnswersMartial Arts8 years agoFlash Newbie. Opinions?
Just testing out my flash and wanted to know if it turned out alright.
I was using the Neewer TT560 with a 40mm f/2.8 lens on a Canon T3i.
It's in black and white because there was color fringing.
It's also a self portrait, so composition was a little hard.

**Also on a different note. I was using a Neewer UV filter while testing out my flash. There was a purple glare across one of my pictures. Was this due to the UV filter or the camera/flash settings?
