How does Wordpress or Blogger associate subdomains and allow for independent template usage? Is there a software design term used for this application?

I know some of them, because I track the keywords people use to get to my site, but is there a program or a website I can go to and it will list all the keywords google and yahoo use to directo people to my site. People come through weird ways, not just meta tags ....

I am getting seduced by all of the mac ads and I want one for Christmas but I don't really NEED one. My PC is only 1.5 years old and although it is a little slow, I am sure a shot of ram would fix everything up. And if I do get a mac, I will have to buy new software, which I already own on my pc. I design websites for a living, so I would need expensive software ...
