  • Help! Irish sounding pop / soft rock song?

Apologize for being vague... It has played on the radio frequently recently and certainly has an Irish take. Some lyrics along the lines...."No it's not my....." What is it!?

  • Irish sounding song ?

It's played on the radio recently (within the year). It sounds Irish and I wish I knew more of the lyrics, but it's something to the tune of, "No, it's not my time......"

Sorry for the brevity. Hopefully someone can help.

  • Is there a law that states airlines can't give out flight dockets/loads?

Recently, Spirit Air refused to tell me info regarding a flight my wife and two daughters were on (International flight that had mechanical problems and my family was unable to make a connecting flight) - and if they had been rebooked and when they might arrive.

They told me is was law - privacy act prohibited them from giving me any information. Is this true? Does anyone know the law?

  • Are homosexual relationships disfunctional due to the absence of God?

Is it the absence of God within the unity, that leads to such disfunction?

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services estimated that "as many as 30% of completed youth suicides each year" are performed by gays and lesbians. If the 30% figure is valid and that it is constant across the age range of 15 to 24 years, then approximately 1,488 suicides per year are committed by homosexual youth. If we assume that gays comprise 5% of the total number of youth, then the 1,488 suicides represent an excess of 1240 suicides related to their sexual orientation.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) continues

to report high rates of HIV infection among homosexual

    and bisexual males.

A 2004 issue of the The British Journal of

Psychiatry, published a study of the high rates of

mental illness in gay males, lesbians, and bisexual

    men and women.

Studies from around the globe all point to continued

high rates of substance abuse among homosexuals.

A report published in the Atlanta Journal-

    Constitution (April 18, 2004), indicated that there’s

a growing trend among young homosexual males

    to use Crystal Meth...

    The Journal of

    Men’s Studies, (March 22, 2003), researchers

noted that a survey of gay domestic violence in

    2000 revealed that 79% had

experienced pushing, shoving, or grabbing; 77%

had experienced restraining or the blocking of an

exit by a partner; 64% had experienced punching,

hitting, or striking with hands or fists; 54% had

    been slapped.

Given the grim realities of the homosexual lifestyle,

    it is unwise to promote this behavior in our schools;

allow homosexual couples to adopt children or

become foster parents; or legalize homosexual

marriage. It is a behavior that should be discouraged

at all levels of our society—in government, in

academia, in churches, in education, in the media,

and in our homes. Homosexuals are clearly deeply

    dysfunctional and self-destructive.

  • police officer video?

I'm preparing for a class and cannot find a video I have previously seen.

It is a very disturbing video of a young officer stopping a white toyota truck. the stop goes on for a long time with the officer yelling orders and the driver goes back to his truck, loads a semi-auto weapon and ends of killing the officer.

i apologize for the graphic nature of this video. i'm only using it to drive home to a class that officers face challenges most of us don't even begin to understand.

does anyone have the link to this video? 10pts...

  • Bird vs Magic 2010 - who wins and why?

Put these two icons on the floor, right now. Who wins?

In an added thought....I recently saw DreXler at a fund raiser. The guy is in as good of shape as when he played and was draining the trays. I think he takes Jordan today.

  • Good older game system for kids in car?

    Nintendo NES?

    Gamecube?

The kids are six and three so something without DVD style games would be best. Anyone recommend a good older system for basic gaming in car? Something I can pickup used on Ebay, that is very durable and can stand up to spills and being stepped on.

    I'm thinking NES? Thoughts?

  • Legalize marijuana pot question? Positives?

I'm not sure I understand the positives.

    1. Some say legalize it and tax it and put the money generated back into society. However, legalized marijuana means regulation and taxation which equals a BURDEN on tax payers to monitor (like liquor control boards). So, the point is mute as it COSTS more than users will generate.

    2. If it is legal, it would become more widespread and common. If one thinks that DUII's have been a burden to our law enforcement and courts - imagine the increase in driving under the influence. Once agian, costing tax payers.

    3. Anyone claiming weed isn't harmful is ignorant. It's more toxic than cigs and completely changes ones motivation and worldview. It has purely negative consequences.

So, my question is what good do all the hippies and pot smokers think will come from legalization? Do those in support or legalization have a clue how regulation works and the stress it puts upon local, state and federal governments?

  • Thoughts on Laker fans rioting?

I really have a hard time understanding why a group of fans who have just watched their team win it all - go around and damage, destroy, burn, and ruin publicly owned property.

    Are they just that dumb?

  • Why are Laker fans gloating when Houston is down their two best players?

Hardly a win you like to see, when your competition is down.

I'm not a Rockets fan at all.... But, I'm continually reminded of who classless, clueless, arrogant and small Laker fans are.

Most fans would take the win, but wish the other team health....that's too much to ask of Laker fans...

  • Is anyone else really tired of "NBA Cares" PR mission?

Ok, the NBA still struggles with a negative image of players acting like thugs, hanging with gang-members, failed drug tests, etc...

It's all good that they play - OVER and OVER - the propaganda of a player or two shooting some hoops at the local-Y - but,

ENOUGH ALREADY! every single one of us helps out, volunteers in some capacity when you really think about.

Quit trying to convince us how much "The NBA Cares"......

  • Anyone else want Dallas to lose, simply because of Marc Cuban?

The dude is such a tool..... I actually like several of the Mav players, but Cuban is such a slapstick - I love watching him whine and cry and throw tantrums.

  • I've been watching NBA since the late 70's?

    Yes, it shows my age....

I admire players like Drexler, James, Bird - guys that take over and dominate a game, and still have the humility and respect to be humble about it.

The other night, I watched as Kobe talked trashed and kept saying that players couldn't guard him.

Now, I'm not saying he isn't a good player (note, good not great) but does anyone else agree that he may be one of the most arrogant, disrespectful and self-centered player in the history of the NBA?
