  • Miami On New Years' Eve?

What's the best thing to do in Miami on New Year's Eve?

    1) Bayfront Park Amphitheater Event?

    2) Any suggested single bars?

My current plan is to do #1 -- partly because I'm traveling solo on this trip.

I'm 29 year old male. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Choice of words: Effectively vs. Effetely?

Help! I recently wrote a letter and used the word effetely instead of effectively. Is there a difference?

Example: My ability to communicate effetely would be an asset (or) My ability to communicate effectively would be an asset. What is the difference between the two words? Thanks :-)

  • Hermosa, Redondo, Manhattan Beach areas?

I will be visiting family in Redondo Beach with a remote possability of relocating to Redondo, Hermosa, or Manhattan Beaches after living in Seattle for 28 years.

Question 1: Which of the beach areas is best for a 28 year old to live in? What are some pros-cons to each area? Anyone else recently relocated to these areas from the Pacific Northwest?

Question 2: Can one afford to buy real-estate on one of these beaches if making 80k a year (condo, home, etc)?

Just curious. Things are not in stone yet - but wanted to get an idea.

  • Technical Training for K-12 Teaching?

Hello - I tried asking this question in the education section but received vague responses.

I am curious if any former K-12 Teachers have switched careers from public teaching to corporate training/technical training. I am currently a high school computer/business education instructor with a plethora of technical expertise. Sadly, my school finds it of no use and only wants to target "No Child Left Behind" standards. What are some similarities and differences between the positions? Working conditions? Expectations? Are you earning more in your salary? Opportunites for growth? Any help on this would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Kevin
