Electrical people, please help with capacitance problem!!?
I started out with 2 capacitors in series and fully charged by a 6V battery. C1=40uF, C2=15 uF. Based on that, the total charge on the capacitors = 66uC, V1=1.6V, V2=4.4V. Now, replace the battery with an uncharged 15uF capacitor. I know the laws of conservation of energy and charge. The question is, how do I now calculate the charge on and voltage across each of the 3 capacitors in this new configuration?? Thank you for any help you can provide!!

Please solve the following question, i need to check my answer to see if it's right.
What average force is needed to accelerate a 7gram pellet from rest to 125m/s over a distance of .8 m along a rifle barrel.
My answer is 68.4N, but not sure if its right...please check.
2 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoNeed solution to projectile motion problem. Please show/explain solution?
A projectile is fired with an initial speed of 62.6 at an angle of 34.3 above the horizontal on a long flat firing range.
I need to know the projectile velocity at 1.36 seconds into flight, and most importantly how to obtain solution.
I have solved the following (I am certain they are right):
Total time of flight - 7.2 seconds, total horizontal distance - 372m, total vertical distance - 63.5m.
Cant seem to get the right answer for last part!
2 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoAACK! Somebody help me rationalize this radical please...?
I need to rationalize the denominator...im usually pretty good at this but this one has me stumped...the book says the answer is 9-3*sqrt5/2
I cant imagine how they got that from this: 6/3+sqrt5. 10 points to whomever can make sense of this!

A rock is dropped from the top of a cliff overlooking the sea. 3.2 seconds later you hear the sound of the rock hitting the water. Ignoring air drag, and given that the speed of sound is 340 m/s, how high is the cliff? How do you get this answer?
