  • Data Protection Act, Failure to disclose?

    Hi.

I have been involved in a legal case, and after some time, the solicitor involved started to complain about fiscal restrictions. When pressed for the financial details of my case so far, I was outrightly refused.

I then issued the solicitor with a request for all the personal information they hold upon me, as per the data protection act, which was also outrightly refused - stating that their systems are not of an 'appropriate type', which I find odd.

Is this legal, and if not, what steps are appropriate to be taken next?

  • Obtaining signitures of the deceased - and other such documents.?

    Hi.

Only serious answers here please. You know from what you talk or you don't. Simples.

I am currently being victimised via fraud - which takes the form of a fabricated will. I wish to disprove this. I am currently talking with forensic scientists about this, and as expected they will require examples to analyse to be able to do this. Unfortunately, I never knew my father, and as such contain no documents that bear his handwriting. I know of several bank accounts, insurance policies, land registery documents, ect. and towards the end I assume he must of scribbled on somthing at the hostpital - Then theres the masses of paperwork to do with this case that solicitors built up before(when he approached them because he knew it was going to be soon, and had NO WILL), and after his death. Which has now been shipped to the opposing solicitors now that my dead fathers solicitor has sold the estate management rights.

All this. It must, Somewhere contain my fathers fingerprints, handwriting, signitures ect. Evidence. I require it.

I have approached the police, they do not consider it a crime until the signiture is proved false( ! ) - And my solicitor keeps trying to tell me that nothing can be done about this matter, and the 12.5k legal aid cert. I have for this endevour is an 'Administrative Error'. I am now checking this out for truth.

Please could someone offer advise on how to obtain these and other such documents - if not to be released to me, then the forensic scientist - As I expect to meet heavy resistence when trying to approach things like, banks, hostpitals ect. and requesting paperwork of the dead.

Again serious answers only taa. And thanks in advance.

I have searched for quite a while now, all the links that I find either point to an irrelevent location, or are now out of date.

Anyone have any serious info they could share?

  • PCMCIA 80211.G Signal Booster?

I Have a Q. for all the technically minded owt thar...

I have a (Belkin) PCMCIA 802.11G adapter, and would like to know of the existence of any equipment/mods that would boost its range.

I would prefer an option that would not damage the item in any way, as I would like to rely on belkin's lifetime warrenty. But if neccissary I am capable and prepared to open and modify the device.

Serious answers only please. It is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fewl, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Thank you in advance for wisdom.
