Nobody puts Baby in the corner!

How much should I pay my five month old puppy? She is a freelance face washer,I am currantly paying her room and board,to wash a two year old boys face,one or two times a day.Works like a charm,bring toddler to puppy,face is automaticly washed,whole process takes less than a minute.Have considered giving a bonus of brand new chew toy.

Not every dog has a thick coat,and yet some people don't care.They would prefer a dog shivered in the cold. And that's not even the point.If it's not bothering the dog,if it's not constricting his movements,WHY do people feel they have the right to insult people that dress their dogs,for what ever reason? Any INTELLlGENT person knows that the dog is in no way embarrassed,yet I hear this arguement over and over again. What is YOUR opinion?

How much do those seat belts cost,anyway? For a small breed (Terrier) dog? At Petco or Walmart or Target?

I love birds,and would really enjoy enteracting with one and teaching it new words. But I am aware that they are a LOT of work,live a long time,and can mutilate themselves if unhappy.Is there a talking bird that is a good 'learning' bird for a beginner bird enthusiast?

Has anyone seen the new Barbie with a Yellow Lab and her three puppies? Barbie won't even let her breast feed,only bottle feed. What message is telling future dog owners?

I sometimes (about once or twice a week) have a hard time keeping my blood-sugar up. Do you think it would help if I bought the same foods diabetics eat? Special cerals and milk shakes,etc. When I had a full time job I got VERY sick every day because of limits on break time,and a co-worker said that there were waffers made specifically for helping diabetics control their blood sugar,would this help me?

I know Cairn Terriers are prone to obesity,so I should limit treats,but how do I train her? I give lots of praise and rubs when she does good,but nothing gets her attention like food. I'm wonder what other people do to train overweight dogs.

I don't know if she's OVERweight,but I want to avoid it,if I can.

She has all her other shots,but he wanted to wait a few weeks until she is a little older for the rabies.She is five pounds,that's already bigger tham some adult toy breeds,are those dogs at a huge risk when they get the rabies shot? How can people socialize their puppies if they can't get their shots until they are grown?

But I can't find it,does any one know what it is?

My puppy yelped and bit it hard in the face! She is normally a very good dog and is very easy to train.My question is,is this a normal puppy reaction to the unexpected,or do you think she is going to be a fearful biter?

Can you believe it?

I have tried putting my fingers in her food bowl while she eats,but she just goes to her water dish.I have taken things out of her mouth that was bad for her (toys and human food) and she does not growl or snap.After her last round of shots I am going to inroll in training of some kind,mainly to get her socialized,and teach me how to correct her. I do have children in the house and plan on having more down the line,and I don't want anyone to get bit,as this happen to me as a baby,petting a dog while he was eating.Any advise? Thank you!

I was looking in my classifieds for the heck of it,to see what kind of dogs where in there today,and I saw one add for Yorkie puppies with all shots,dew claws removed and their tails docked? I have never heard of this in a Yorkie.Has anyone else heard of or seen this?

She is healthy,with no worms or other health problems.She has grown some since I got her,but I can still feel her ribs when I pick her up.When I first brought her home she was a little ball of fur,and the vet said she was perfect,just a "little on the small side".He did not seem concerned ,and agreed her food(Nature's Recipe,puppy chow),was a good choice.A few weeks have gone by and she is taller and very active,drinks and eats....am I worrying too much? I just want her to be healthy.

She is a Cairn Terrier,I know they are small.

At what age should I take my Cairn Terrier puppy to groomer for the first time? She hates the dog brush.
