Back to the Future II?
Ok, movie geeks...I was watching one of my favorite childhood movie series with my son just now, and during Back to the Future II I noticed something that I had never questioned before when I was younger.
When Doc first brings Marty and Jennifer to the future and they land in the alley way where Marty begins to get dressed like his son to go confront Griff (Biff's grandson) Doc is running around frantically saying that he has a mission to accomplish. He tells Marty to "just say no" to Griff no matter what and runs off to go do something.
So, what did Doc go do while Marty was hoverboarding around fighting with Griff? He said that there was something important that he needed to go do, but I don't think the movie ever explains what it was. Anybody know?
3 AnswersMovies7 years agoBackup TE: Eifert or Winslow?
I have Jordan Cameron as my starter, so I'm not looking for anything more than depth in case something happens to Cameron. Who should I pick up?
Eifert has the most upside, but the Bengals have alot of other offensive weapons including another decent TE in Gresham. Winslow has looked good and is one of the few options for Geno Smith to throw the ball to, but he hasn't played football in over a year, and has a bum knee.
Which guy would you go with to stash on the bench?

1 AnswerFantasy Sports8 years agoAny other war veterans feel "flat" after coming back home?
I was just wondering if anybody else out there who has spent time deployed in a war returned home feeling "flat". The feeling started during my first deployment from 2004-2005 (I assume as a coping mechanism for the extreme stress/fear/paranoia that comes with the experiences so many of us have experienced in Iraq and Afghanistan) and stayed with me until after my second deployment from 2006-2007.
I've been out of the military for 4 years now, and it hasn't gone away...I don't get overly depressed or upset about anything and nothing gets me really excited anymore...I just feel "flat". Does anybody else feel this way, and will I ever feel the way I used to before all of this?
5 AnswersMilitary9 years agoDrop Danny Woodhead to pick up Lee Evans?
PPR league...the only expendable player I have on my bench is my late round pickup Danny Woodhead. Should I drop him to pick up Lee Evans? I also have Flacco as my backup QB, so there's opportunity for some point doubledipping.
2 AnswersFantasy Sports10 years agoHelp...my computer is stuck in safe mode?
I wanted to boot my work laptop in safe mode, I but was having trouble with the F8 during the splash screen method. I went into msconfig and set up my computer to automatically boot in safe mode. After restarting my computer I got to the Windows XP login screen in safe mode...the problem is that I didn't realize that the way the profiles are set up on my work computer doesn't allow me to log in in standard safe mode...it doesn't recognize my password...I need safe mode with networking.
I tried restarting the computer, pushing F8, and selecting safe mode with networking...I also tried the normal startup option...but no matter what I do it just keeps bringing me back to the standard safe mode login screen; now I'm stuck. Since I configured my computer in msconfig to automatically boot in safe mode I can't login at all to change the setting back. Is there some kind of way to backdoor this problem and change that setting without being able to login to windows?
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoI moved across the country for my wife, and now I feel stuck in a place I don't like.?
I was born and raised in Southern California. If you would have asked me 5 years ago if I would ever leave I would have told you, "No way in hell." I love it there. It's where my family and friends are, it's what I know, and it's where I met my wife.
She was nursing in San Diego when we started dating...she had moved out there from the Philadelphia area. We both love San Diego, and had no intentions of ever leaving...until she got pregnant. I was in the military and was 5 or 6 days into a deployment when she found out we were having a baby. Since I wouldn't be back for a long time...at that time I wasn't even sure I would make it back for the birth...we both felt it was a good idea for her to move back home to Pennsylvania with her parents while I was gone. I ended up getting back in time, I flew out to Pennsylvania for my son's birth, and then my wife and son moved back to California with me.
About 9 months later I separated from the military and started school full-time. My wife was a full-time student, as well, and we both worked full-time. Anybody who has any children understands how hard this is to pull off without help...both parents working full-time and going to school full-time. The problem is my parents live in a small town in California where there aren't any universities...so we couldn't move there for them to help us out with our son. So we both made the decision together that we should move to Pennsylvania until we finish school so that we would have that family support that we needed and still be able to work and pursue our educational goals.
Now that we have lived here almost 3 years, I am getting the feeling that my wife has no intentions of ever moving back to California. Anytime I try to discuss the future she instantly doesn't want to think about the long-term. She'll say things like, "We just barely moved into our house that we bought. I'm not ready to think about moving again." I'm really starting to feel stuck out here.
Leaving my wife and son is not an option and is not a thought that would ever even cross my mind. I love them both so much...and honestly, I am happier living in the Philly area than I would be living back home in California without them...but that doesn't change the fact that I HATE Pennsylvania. I hate it!
Am I completely out of line to think that we agreed to move here temporarily and that we should both be planning on moving back to where we started our relationship? If we didn't have our son we would have never left San Diego. My wife loves San Diego, and I hate Philadelphia...so why should we stay out here. I understand that her family and friends are all out here, but mine are out there...I made the sacrifice to move here to finish school, but I would have never agreed to it if I would have known that she would want to stay FOREVER. I get so homesick and miss my friends and family all the time. Sometimes I get in these really depressed moods just thinking about it.
To make it worse...my wife's family pretty much just steps all over her and treats her like trash...with the exception of her dad. Most of her friends don't even call her anymore now that she's married and has a kid, and when we invite her friends over to our house they will commit and then just not show up without even calling. It pisses me off so much because all my family and friends would love to see all of us, and I would love to see them...my wife's family and friends can see us whenever they want and just take it for granted and treat her badly.
Am I stuck forever? Is it unfair of my to try to pressure her to move back to California when I willingly moved here (even if it was under the pretenses that it was temporary)? What should I do?

5 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoInstalling a Stiebel electric tankless water heater...do I need to install an electrical sub-panel?
The unit requires three 50 amp 2-pole breakers and three runs of 8-2 romex. I understand that different states have different electrical codes...my question is for Pennsylvania. Is there any reason why I would have to install a separate sub-panel for the three 50 amp 2-pole breakers that supply the heater, or can I just install the three breakers in my main panel? The heater will only be about 10-15 feet from where the panel is.

7 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoI need help with my technique applying polyurethane to my hardwood floors?
I recently sanded and stained my oak floors in my house. Now I have applied 3 coats of polyurethane with a 4" brush, but you can see all the start and stop marks of my strokes if the glare on the floor is right. Should I use a lambswool applicator? I want to wet strips of the floor and then make long strokes down the entire length of the floor from one end of the room to the other with the applicator, but I'm worried the poly will start to get too tacky too soon for this. Is there some kind of special technique I can use to get a more seamless look on my floors...and will applying more coats cover the uneven finish I have on my floor now?

2 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoHow can anybody honestly say that Lebron has surpassed Kobe as the best player in the league?
I understand that Lebron is the future face of the NBA, and the league is pushing a hard campaign to promote him...but what sane person would actually take Lebron, today, over Kobe to make a run for a championship. Kobe consistently rises to the occassion...Lebron might be the future, but Kobe is still the real King.

5 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoWill everybody forget about Lebron's "the shot" when the Cavs lose this series?
All the ESPN analysts are so quick to jump the gun and say that Cleveland has forgotten all about Jordan's shot because Lebron's replaced it. Isn't that a little premature...don't the Cavs actually have to win the series for that shot to be significant at all? Otherwise it's just a good buzzer beater...but nowhere as epic as Jordan's shot.
