  • Which jobs do you NOT consider obsolete?

This is a follow-up to another question.

Times change, and of course jobs change with time.

Which jobs do you consider non-obsolete? These of course are jobs that we can't afford to lose or live without at present.

Please keep it clean, although I will consider jobs in the sex industry as long as these are legal and legitimate.

  • What jobs would you consider obsolete?

Times change, and so do jobs. A "lamp-lighter", one who goes around at dusk lighting gas-powered street lights, is an obsolete job by example. Which jobs do you consider obsolete? Keep it clean please.

  • Looking for some educated advice. My nails split as an avid guitarist.?

As I posted earlier, yes my nails split as an avid guitarist. Sure, some people don't quite understand (comments such as get a pick). Duh and really. Lead and chords are not played with your pick hand. Your hand on the fretboard is what makes the most (brutal) contact with the strings. It's exactly like pressing down on a fine piece of wire many thousands of times a day.

So I ask again. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good nail polish/strengthener?

    Sorry if I offended anyone.

  • I'm a dedicated guitar player, and my nails are starting to split. I need some advice.?

I think I should address this question to the girls or guitarists out there (or both). Is there a nail polish/strengthener that anyone could recommend to prevent split nails on my left hand? It's the hand I use for chording and lead work, and I play about 5-6 hours a day. The problem is, all that playing is taking a toll on my nails in terms of splitting them to the point to where I might have to take a break for a week or so, and I REALLY don't want to do that. I keep them cut very short which minimizes the damage.

I've heard of other guitarists that use polish/strengtheners, but which one?

By the way, I eat a good diet, so there isn't protein deficiency.

Any good advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  • So are you going to buy an iPhone?

I'm not biased or anything. If that's what you want, then I say go for it if you can afford it. As for me, I'm not really that interested.

I do think it would be interesting to play with one for awhile though.

    Your thoughts?
