I just got my results back from a recent blood test. They told me everything was normal except for my glucose fasting level which was slightly high (6.2). My doctor is now monitoring it and I have to repeat the test in 6 months time. What does slightly high glucose (fasting) level mean exactly? Does this mean I could be heading for diabetes unless I change my lifestyle? I consider myself of average weight, maybe a few pounds over but nothing major. I exercise regularly and am in my early 40's.

Can anyone help me with a few questions about this phone?...In SMS/text messages does it give you a threaded/conversation view, an inbox/outbox, or the option of either? Also, is there a flashing notification light - or an audible sound - for missed calls/messages? Is this a good phone if you're primarily going to use it for texting and the odd call? I'm not bothered about the camera, media player, or the internet. Thanks

I currently have a 13.5 tog duvet and was thinking of getting a 15 tog one. Would it be worth the money though if it's only a slightly higher tog rating?

I can't seem to find the radio option in my iTunes. Have they removed it? I know it used to be in the source pane on the left under library, but it's not there now. Even under the options where you can tick what sources to show (music, podcasts videos etc) the radio option is grayed-out on mine. Can anyone help?

I had a colonoscopy this week. Despite getting the all-clear and finding NO abnormalities, they said I require another one in 3 years time. When I asked why they just said "routine procedure" - but surely it isn't? If they found something I could understand, but they didn't. Someone said it may be cos of my age (40, male) but men of my age aren't asked to go for periodic colonoscopies unless something is wrong. A colonoscopy - and all the preparation that goes with it - is horrible and not something I want to do again unless absolutely necessary.

Jenson Button has really started to impress me this year. Yeah I know he won the world championship in 2009, but he was in a far superior car to everyone else then (for half the season at least) and personally I thought he was overrated. But this year I think he has put in some fantastic drives, especially at Canada and Japan.

Next week I have to go for a flexible sigmoidoscopy, where they use a camera (on a long, thin flexible tube) to look at my lower part of my bowel - it is NOT the same as a colonoscopy. I've been told I can eat as normal beforehand, and about an hour before I leave (for the hospital) I have to do a self-admistered enema. To my questions...Will I be ok to use public transport getting to and from the hospital? Will I feel normal/fully awake after the procedure?

If you was to use a herbal product - say Valerian root - regularly, would it become less effective as your body gets use to it? Or do herbal remedies not work in the same way as prescribed meds?

What movie would you say has been IMPROVED the most in the form of a directors/extended/alternate cut? Some movies are already great in their theatrical version, and just made even better in a longer cut. But what films would you say go from being average/good, to a great film?

Is it possible to view a picture in windows 7 without all the onscreen clutter (menu/tool bars etc around the sides) but without going into slideshow mode - so you still have the zoom in/out functions?

Have just got a new laptop (windows 7) and downloaded & installed Avast anti virus program. When I try to update the virus database I get a "connection error" message. Then when I try and go on the internet it won't connect at all. It's only after I did a system restore (pre-avast) that I got my connection back. What's goin on?

Just got a new laptop (windows 7) and want to install zone alarm's free firewall. Upon first installation my PC crashed at 38% so had to reboot it. Every time I've tried to re-install it (even from another download) I get a message saying it's having trouble closing down my current version of ZA - even though it's not installed yet! It tells me to restart computer but this doesn't help. Having tried deleting all traces of original download but to no avail. PC doesn't have any restore points either yet as it was only turned on today for first time. Can anyone help?

I'm just about to go form a desktop PC to a laptop. Will I be able to connect to the internet with my current ethernet cable rather than go wireless?

I've been looking at the laptops in Argos. The one I've got my eye on says under dvd optical drives that it can read/write dvds - does this automatically mean it can burn cds too? I need to be able to burn music cds for albums I download from iTunes. (BTW the cat # is 508/4643 - Acer laptop) Thanks

Does anyone know which day of the week HMV post out video games (pre-ordered ones)? I know for dvds it's usually the wednesday before the release date, but games are usually released on fridays. There's a few games out soon I want to order but really want them by their release date, no later.
