I'm a labor doula and childbirth educator. I'm a birth fanatic and will happily talk birth for hours and hours. My personal favorite birth/pregnancy books for pregnant moms are "Ina May's Guide to Childbirth" by Ina May Gaskin, "Birthing From Within" by Pam England, and "Pregnancy, Childbirth, and the Newborn" by Simkin, Whalley, and Keppler. I think moms should all read these books, in the order listed here. I'm also a birth activist, particularly interested in preventing unnecessary cesarean section (c-sections) and promoting healthy VBACs.
