Question about transfer from SATA to USB?
I have 2 hard drives from an old laptop, and they're both these here: First - http://www.impactcomputers.com/432996-001.html Second - http://www.impactcomputers.com/432998-001.html
I have a newer laptop that I'm trying to get the data to, and I'm looking at buying a SATA to USB plug, like this: http://www.amazon.com/Drive-Adapter-Cable-Silicon-...
Is this what I should be looking to buy or something else?
Thanks.
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks9 years agoWhat are "vials" in reference to an engine?
I went to have some work done on my car (2000 Dodge Intrepid, w/ 150,000 miles), and had the timing belt, tensioner, and water pump replaced. The car still shakes while I'm stopped or driving under 5 mph or so.
The mechanic told me I need to have the "vials" replaced in the engine, which should have "ball-bearings" or something in them. I've looked into it, and have found nothing referring to "vials" of any kind. He said I need to take the engine head off and check inside, and told me it'd cost about $1700-$2000 after labor, and that I should probably get rid of the car. I'd prefer not to; I've had it for a long time.
My car broke down while I was travelling, so I had to take it to a "random" mechanic in another town, so I have yet to see a local mechanic about it.
Is he full of it, or is he right about at least something? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm looking to buy a Straight Talk phone on Walmart.com, and I was wondering if I'll receive a sim card with it, or do I have to purchase one separately on StraightTalk.com?
Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
2 AnswersCell Phones & Plans9 years agoQuestion about a replacement passport?
I've had a passport previously, and I'm about to order a replacement one. I am wondering: is there any way for my new passport to have record of the places I've traveled to, or will my new replacement start "fresh", with no previous destinations being on the record?
Thanks!
2 AnswersPacking & Preparation10 years agoWhat does the Codex wall do in Assassin's Creed II?
I gathered all of the codices (plural for codex) and arranged them on the wall into the map of the world, but nothing happens (I'm at the beginning of Sequence 11). Is something supposed to happen, or do I have to wait? I've double checked online looking at photos of the arrangements on the map, and I have it correct.
Thanks for the help!

5 AnswersVideo & Online Games10 years agoGears of War 2 All Fronts Collection DLC?
Is the DLC on the disc or do I just get a download code to download the extra content on Xbox Live? I know with the Borderlands GOTY Edition, there was an extra disc with all the content. If I have to download all the DLC, I don't know if my hard drive can fit it all.
Thanks.
2 AnswersVideo & Online Games10 years agoNeed help with a movie?
There was a scene in the movie where a character throws a knife and it sticks in the wall. He goes to retrieve the knife, and you can see that he pinned a fly against the wall.
What movie was this? 10 points for the first correct answer!

I'm looking to see what kind of DLC is included, too. I'm looking at the Xbox 360 version, if it makes a difference.
Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

3 AnswersBooks & Authors10 years agoWhich wireless signal must I use?
I have a D-Link WBR-1310, a wireless G router. It's an older model, but works just fine.
Here's the link for it:http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=474
I need to purchase a wireless adapter for a desktop, and looking to get one for the PCI slot, preferrably this one: http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-PCE-N13-Wireless-PCI-Ex...
I'm not good with knowing which signals are "universal" or "compatible". If my router's signal is 'G', do I have to purchase a 'G' adapter or am I a little more free to choose? Mainly, will this item that I've selected on Amazon be compatible?
Thanks!
2 AnswersComputer Networking10 years agoWhat can I do in New York for 4 hours?
I'm going on a trip, and I have about an 7 hour layover at JFK Airport. I don't want to sit in the airport the whole time; I'd like to go around, even for a short period of time.
Do you have any suggestions for what I could do? Thanks.
5 AnswersNew York City10 years agoQuestion About Laptop Power Supply & International Volts/Amps?
Hi, I'm an American planning on going to Italy for a while, and I want to bring my laptop (Sony Vaio PCG-7173L, which I've purchased and used in the U.S.) with me. I've checked my power supply, and it has the following info:
INPUT: 100V - 240V ~ 1.3A 50-60Hz
OUTPUT: 19.5V = 3.9A
I'm wondering if I'll have any problems if I purchase a plug adapter (simply for the plug, not to change any input or output).
Is there a possibility that I could overload my computer with too much electricity? Is there a certain "safe level" of amps or volts that I can stay within? Will I need to purchase a "converter/transformer" or similar device?
Thank you very much!

One is from a European Union country, the other is an American.
I'm not looking to get any sort of U.K. citizenship for either of us, just to be married.
Would it be possible, and if so, what would be required?
Thanks a ton!
2 AnswersImmigration1 decade agoHelp with Amazon Selling?
I just sold 2 items (I've been selling a WHOLE LOT lately) and I'm afraid I made a mistake and mixed up two of the addresses. #1 ordered a collectible toy in Miami, #2 ordered a book in Salt Lake City #1 received the book, and I expect #2 to soon receive the toy.
What should I do to fix this? Should I just refund their money, and tell them to keep the items (not really something that I want to do), tell them to just take it to the post office and "Return to Sender" (I hope they wouldn't have to pay for it, but I'm not all familiar with return policies and such).
Are there any other options?
I appreciate any input.
1 AnswerCorporations1 decade agoShould I buy Fallout New Vegas or Fable 3?
Both are going to be on sale for Black Friday, and I'm wondering which of the two I should get.
I played the hell out of Fallout 3, all the DLC and everything, for over 100 hours. I really enjoyed it, but I hear that Vegas is basically Fallout 3.5, with nothing really new.
I played Fable 2, and I really enjoyed it, but played it only once, and it took about 25 hours or so. I've heard that Fable 3 is excellent, but I've also heard that it's mediocre.
What do you think?
Thanks.
6 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoBroken Xbox 360 / Best Buy Warranty (HELP!!!)?
I bought an Xbox 360 at launch at Best Buy, which I purchased an extended warranty on. The store has a service that they do called "Rapid Exchange" where you bring in your broken Xbox 360 to send back to the warehouse, and they send you a "refurbished" model (lately, they've been sending me 2008 models) in exchange for it. I have paid extra money to extend the warranty with the company, and and now wondering what I should do.
I have exchanged probably 7 different Xboxes since 2006, and I'm really getting tired of it. Each one I've had had different problems from E74 errors to weird red lines across the screen to not reading discs to the Red Ring of Death. Each time I've done this, it's taken about 2 weeks to get another console, which is to say the least annoying. I do not live near a Best Buy, and have to drive at least 30 minutes to get there.
The other day, I got one back from a disc read error, and it is now displaying an E74 error. I am so fed up with this. I'd like to get my money back, but I don't think it's an option. The Xbox 360 is VERY unreliable with its hardware, and I'd at least like to get a NEWER console so it doesn't crash again.
I am very close to going down there and making a scene (most of the time, the employees have been very rude to me about it).
What do you think I should do? Speak with a manager about getting my money back, or something similar? What are your suggestions?
Thanks for taking the time to read this and answer.
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games1 decade agoProblems with Black Ops Free-For-All?
I'm always having trouble connecting to a game of Free for All on Xbox 360. I've waited 15 minutes sometimes before giving up because I haven't connected to a single game. I know there are no problems with my connection, because I can connect to any other game mode with no problems.
Has this happened to anyone else? If so, any solutions? Thanks!
6 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoWhat continental airlines allow guinea pigs in the cabin?
I'm looking to see if there is an airline that flies from New York JFK to somewhere near Florida, like Atlanta, Miami, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, Gainesville, etc.
I've checked many airlines, and most of them accept guinea pigs ONLY as cargo, which can be deadly for them (I'm also flying internationally, but I've already found an airline for that).
Here's a list that I've been trying to look through: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_airlines_of_t...
Thank you very much!
