  • Can't get Flash to work under Opera? (Linux)?

    http://www.opera.com/docs/linux/plugins/install/#f...

^Trying to follow the directions above, but under usr/bin I don't see an Opera folder. I see a file called opera, but when I open it, it asks me if I want to run in a terminal or 'display'. How do i paste the libflashplayer to something that's not a folder?

  • How to enable Flash on Opera? (Linux)?

Using Fedora 15 and Opera, but can't manage to get Flash working. I got it working on Google Chrome and Firefox, but don't know how to on Opera.

    I'm trying to follow the directions @ ( http://www.opera.com/docs/linux/plugins/install/#f... ) but I can't find a file called /usr/lib/opera/plugins. I've found /usr/lib/, but there is no opera folder, even when I CTRL+H.

Any ideas on why this is so? I have opera installed, so why isn't there a folder with plugins for it?

  • Which programming language should I learn...?

I've been studying programming for years, but only dabbling. I've taken a few classes, and so far I know a little bit on Python, C, and Java... but I'm tired of just "knowing enough", and I want to MASTER one programming language at a time... which one should I master first?

I want to know which ever will help me get a good job, and is still used very widely in the world today.

  • Is this website legit/credible?

    http://www.kingcounty.gov/healthservices/health/co...

I got my HIV PCR test done at 17 days after possible exposure, and it was negative. According to that website, a PCR is conclusive after 1-2 weeks of possible exposure, meaning I'm okay!

Is that website a credible though?

  • Am I just being paranoid?

I got tested 17 days after a possible 'exposure', with an HIV PCR test. The result was negative (thank goodness), but now I keep reading online different 'conclusive dates', like 28 days, 10-14 days, 2-3 weeks... and I just keep worrying about what if it was a false negative, or I just didn't wait long enough?

Please help, I'm driving myself crazy!

  • Should I buy a new car, or just fix the one I have?

I don't know anything about cars. My mother doesn't either. I have a job, and can start saving up for a car... and that's what she wants me to do. I'd love a new car as well, but I'm wondering if I really should get one.

I went to get a quote on all the things I need to fix on the car I currently have (a 95' Mercury Sable), and the total came out to $1,700. I got a whole list of things I need to fix, the shocks, belt tensioner, struts, gasket, etc... but since I don't know anything about cars I don't know if I should just go ahead and fix the one I have, or just go get financed for a new car.

    Any help? Thanks :)

  • HIV PCR test.... conclusive or not?

Took HIV PCR test after 17 days of possible exposure by injection, (used clean needle but not cotton...) results came back negative. I keep reading online that 28 days is conclusive, then 10-14 days, then 2-3 weeks... what's correct, and can I stop worrying already?

    Thanks for any help. :)

  • My test results came back negative... am I okay, then?

Took the HIV PCR test at 18 days after possible exposure, and the Hep C PCR @ 3 weeks, both were negative.

    Am I okay, then?

  • Still worried, even though my test results were negative...?

I injected drugs for the first (and last) time on the fifth of June. I know it was stupid, and I was really worried about it... to the point where it was driving me crazy. So I took 2 PCR tests, one for HIV and one for Hep C, both at 17 days. However, the nurse messed up on the Hep C one, so I had to come in at 3 weeks to get that one done.

Both came back negative, does that mean I'm okay? I just keep worrying, reading about 2-3 weeks for PCR tests...

What should my third Pokemon be, and what moves/items are best? Thanks for any advice :)

  • I want to invest my whole retirement into QQQ?

QQQ - The tech heavy NASDAQ fund.

I truly believe technology will rapidly make huge improvements over the next 50 years, and since I'm young (22), why not invest my whole retirement into technology? Is this a dumb idea? I think I could make a lot more this way than spreading out my retirement over every stock/bond there is...

  • Wanting to invest, but not sure about 2 things...?

    1. I have debt... not too much, only about $3,000, but should I pay that off first before I invest?

    2. I used E*Trade for a while... but $9.99 a trade was eating into my money WAY too much. I want to use OptionsHouse.com, but they require $1,000 down first... is there any cheap brokers out there that I can just put $20-50 out of each paycheck I get and immediately invest with it?

  • How soon can I get tested for Hepatitis C?

I had a possible 'exposure' on the fifth of this month, and am going to get tested on the 27th; totalling 22 days. I am getting tested for HIV and Hepatitis C. I know for HIV, after 20 days it's like a 80% chance only, but that's fine, but what about Hepatitis C?

  • Shot up drugs, really worried!?

A week and a half ago I used a brand new needle to shoot up meth. Really stupid, I know, and it is something I am NEVER doing again. So now I am paranoid I might have HIV or Hepatitis C or something, and I can't stop thinking about it.

The only reason I'm worried is because my friend, after we shot up once, rinsed our needles out with just water, than baked some more drugs, then put all of it into his needle, from which he then put half of the batch into my needle. That's why I'm worried I guess... I only used my needle to shoot up, but once he put some dope into his needle first, and then ejected it into mine...

I don't have any symptoms of HIV / Hep C, but I know it could take a while, right? I asked my friend if he had any STD's and he laughed and said no, also that he doesn't have Hep C. I think I'm just paranoid, but I plan to get tested in one month, which will be 4-5 weeks after my possible 'exposure'. My question is, if I end up clean at that date, can I breathe a sigh of relief yet?

I know this was really really dumb, please don't flame me, I've been beating myself enough about it.

  • Testing 4-5 weeks after possible 'exposure'...?

So a week and a half ago I used a clean, brand new needle to shoot up drugs. Really stupid, I know, and it is something I am NEVER, EVER doing again. • What's wrong with me?

I always have to have something to obsess/worry about for months.

For instance, I had sex with a girl that was on birth control a few months back, and I worried for a whole month that she might be pregnant, and the whole time, I just kept thinking, "If she ends up not being pregnant everything will be fine, I'll be happy, not get in trouble, etc..." Once I found out she wasn't, I started to obsess over how "What if I get cancer even though I quit smoking a long time ago? I'm 22 but it could happen... right?" Finally I got over that, and now I'm worried about having HIV or Hepatitus C, because I used a needle a week and a half ago to shoot up drugs. Really stupid, I know, and I'm never doing it again, but now my days are incremented in how many times I think, "God I can't wait for months to pass so I can get tested and find out I'm clean... what if I'm not clean though...?"

I used a clean needle, and my friend doesn't have any STD's, or Hep C... but I still worry regardless. Why do I worry so much about one thing, and how can I stop?
