  • speed of light past future reflections light sun to earth history?

you know how when one looks up at the stars at night they are looking at the past

well what if one moved from that spot far enough directly up into the air faster then the speed at which light can travel could they looks back and see them selves looking back up at them in the past?

and if they could how far back into the past could they look assuming they could move faster then light its self could one do the same with a big enough mirror reflecting back say it takes 8 minutes 20 seconds for sunlight to reach earth if there was a mirror next to the sun assuming it could reflect that far which i don't see ay reason it could not how far could we look back into our history and how far would we have to go away from the earth to see different points in history sorry for such a long winded question i was have a debate if time existed with my friend and this thought just came to me
