So, here's the deal. I've known my best friend, whose name is Kris, for about two years now, when we met each other during lunch on the first day of school. We talked the entire time, and it wasn't awkward or uncomfortable. And although we're extremely different (he doesn't own an article of clothing that isn't black, and I don't own an article of clothing that is black), we've been inseparable ever since.

And I've been in love with him ever since he taught me to play chess one day in the library.

But I'm not sure if he even sees me in that light; he doesn't see me as a girl--just his friend. Yes, you heard right folks. The girl has been friendzoned.

Sure, sometimes I think he might be flirting with me just a tad (sometimes randomly he does things like poke my cheek or stare at me), but it's really just for a moment. I can't tell with him. It's confusing.

And now, I'm pretty sure he's developing a crush for one of our other friends, Cheyenne. Maybe he doesn't even realize it, but whenever she's around, he kind of gravitates toward her and away from me; he always sits across from her in the morning, or next to her if he can. In fact, yesterday, when we went to go see a movie together, I invited Cheyenne. When she said she couldn't go, Kris kept making cracks and jokes about how he doesn't want to be alone with me in the theater, how he doesn't want it to be just us. Inside the theater, my head accidentally touched his shoulder and he made this weird face at me like he thought I was going to keep it there, like a mix of confusion and a bit of disgust. It made me a little sad.

Oh, and also, he has this heart condition that makes me wary around him. If his lips turn blue, then he told me I'm supposed to call the police and rush him to the hospital because he could die. That's another factor.

So, here's my question: should I tell him that I like him that way, before he asks out Cheyenne? I'm really scared that he'll reject me and it'll make our friendship awkward. Please, please, please, I really don't want to make it awkward, but I'm not sure if he thinks of me that way also. Do you think he does?

I'm 16 and am 5'3. My sister and all my friends (who are all roughly around 5'10, 5'6, and 5'8) make fun of my height, but I don't think I'm all that short.

I eat right, I'm 5'3 at 16 years old and weigh 120 pounds, I run every day except on the weekends, but my thighs and butt are gigantic. There's a lot of fat in the inside of my thighs and around my hips, and not much around my midsection and arms. Is there something that I'm eating that's causing this? Is there something I can do to help myself get slimmer (other than doing something that'll cost me a lot of money like a weight loss program)?
