  • How bad is it when you become so lazy that you don't even want to pursue any of your passions?

I want to be a film director, but I'm too lazy to write a script. I'm also too lazy to even jot down ideas or ANYTHING.

I then became interested in photoshop but photoshop required too much patience so I cracked the disc out of frustration. I tried so many software programs after trying photoshop but all required too much patience so I refused to learn them.

I even cried because I just didn't have any patience with myself. I didn't know why I was pouting, but I didn't even have any ideas in my head for what I was even going to do in the program.

So now at almost 20 years old I've revolted and all I do now is play video games because it's easiest on my brain. Everything in the world is too challenging for me but there are parts of me that still want to pursue my dreams but I just don't have any patience with myself at all. And through this, it's like I lost all creative insight on my passion.

    What do I do?

    P.S Please, gentle comments only.

  • Why would someone divorce someone in a non absuive relationship?

Think about it. Hopefully by the time you marry that person, you know them inside and out and all around. You know how they get confused in rough times and you kknow how they change depending on the situation..... So you hopefully begin to know your husband or wife more than they know themselves.

So after knowing this in a relationship.... and your husband/wife knows it too..... how could you guys divorce? Is it because you guys fight a lot? Well so do parents and children so what is the difference?

Aren't you supposed to love your husband/wife unconditionally forever? Isn't that why you marry in the first place?

Ive been married for 16 years and me and my wife have got in TONS of fights and some even to the point where i felt like i need the divorce but then i thought alone for a moment........ About why I married this woman in the first place and i immediatley knew that this woman knows me more than anyone and i CAN'T live without her.

So why do you think people divorce if both parties are already deeply committed?

Your wife and husband will lose their physical attractiveness/humor/adventurous personality somewhere along the lines but isnt that ok?

    What are your opinions?

  • Can most married women and married men get turned on outside their relationship?

Even if the man or women was deeply convicted to his/her spouse could they ironically still get turned on?

Like if one of them was forced into this house and tied with legs spread, arms spread and (in a girls situation) a bunch of guys licked her from top to bottom and were very skilled at foreplay etc do you think that this kind of strange rape would turn a man or women on unconsciously?

Or just any situation where a girl or girl is raped in mannor where a bunch of people just lick and try to please the guy/girl.

  • Is there any way to stop bad anxiety for good?

Most internet advice is bad pertaining to bad anxiety and not just simple anxiety. I can't just stop and ask myself "what is the worst that could go wrong?" Because when you have BAD anxiety like me (hopefully some of you ccan relate) your mind goes blank and your sense of making rational decisions turns into making irrational decisions. You start to lose yourself in the anxiety and you become a PRIME subject of abuse because you become very submissive and more slavelike to the individuals around you as you keep thinking "please don't ridicule me" to yourself

Is there any REAL way to stop this way of thinking without medication?

  • I have no interest in making new friends. Is this a bad thing?

I always hear that it's always important to get connections with as many people as possible to help you business wise in the long run or just with personal problems.

Yet i have no desire to make friends. The only friends I have are online friends because with online friends, you can talk to them whenever you feel like it without seeming like an asshole. If you make friends at school or in a business setting, who's to say that they aren't going to talk to you on the days you have no interest in socializing? I'm only sociable for like 2 days of every week and the rest of the time 8 just feel like hibernating.

Will this negatively impact my future and my chances of seeking out oppurtunities?

  • What can I do about an unfair teacher at school?

My English professor has favorites and gives her favorite students more freedoms. He favors one student who has what he calls "A writer's voice" because his voice basically sounds like a professional narrator. I'm good friends with the student and we often show what grades we made after our grades are given and he currently has an A, and I have a C in that class.

I was puzzled at HOW he received an A overall because I read over his work and it really was bad. The majority of the English papers he showed me were grammatically incorrect and he had misspelling that the teacher didn't even notice apparently.

But the teacher constantly compliments him on how he presents itself to the point where I'm like "What?" because it's obvious he favors him because of his writer's voice. I work very hard on my English assignments yet I'm very shy and awkward when I approach the teacher but my work is great and I really see an unfair side to how my teacher is judging my work.......

  • Why do most people dislike what they can't understand?

With movies, performances etc. Most people seem to dislike material that IS so far fetched and people that are so out there to an almost unrelatable level.

This I think is one reason why a lot of individuals dislike arthouse films, quiet individuals that act very different compared to what most people are like, and just anything that is very far fetched then what people are used to on a day to day basis.

Why do you think a lot of people seem to be like this?

  • How important is it to get work experience while you're in college?

I'm not at all like the typical college kids that love independence and getting their own income. In terms of money, my parents pay for most everything in terms of food and school but not personal pleasures. When I want to buy something I typically just look around for some loose change and/or selling or trading in stuff for money.

I'm just one of those guys that feels like there's no real rush for anything and I still feel like a kid inside that never really left high school. I see resimes of my peers that are working their asses off right now and have a high paying job yada yada yada if you let that stuff get to you, you become stressed and you try and compete with your peers as well.

I try not to think of careers as cut throat area where your CONSTANTLY trying to outdo everyone else while stressing yourself to the max so you can achieve your dreams.

I believe that to get a career, you just need to show your employer that you can get the job done EXCEPTIONALLY well without some dumb background. you just need to know what your strengths and talents are.

Oh I'm 19 by the way.

    What are your opinions?

  • Do you ever get so consumed with living that you forget about death?

Like you forget that there is a possibility you might die. Everyday I live I get so consumed with the fact that I'm alive that I don't even consider death a possibility LOL

  • Why do people still find online dating stupid and risky?

These days, online dating is becoming more and more popular. If you are intelligent (which few are when they online date) you will video chat each day with your partner whenever they're available.

How after fully knowing who the person is and video chatting with them everyday is online dating still so incredibly dangerous that it is still feared so much much in our world?

  • How can I get my dad to stop pushing me toward my career?

Okay I admit it, I want to be a filmmaker. My dad is fine with me having that major but he wants me to get off my butt and just make a movie or do anything in my power toward my career or he makes fun of my lifestyle...... Here's how it goes.

"Oh wow Mike look at this photography competition that would enahnce your camera lighting skills like you've been telling me about"- dad

    "Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Not interested right now"

    (Dad laughs)

"OK SON LET'S GO HOME AND DREAM! DREAM ABOUT BEING THIS BIG FILMMAKER"= dad says sarcastically

"Omg dad you're saying that if I want to become a filmmaker I have to get off my butt now and start doing everything in my freaking power to make a movie? Even if that means going freaking broke in the process?"= Me

"Well this is your major so yes" = dad

    (I roll my eyes)

"Okay son let's go back home and play video games"

And yeah it went on and on, no resolution.

I personally am not like those people that get a career and work their butt off toward that career. I've never been like that, and that's just not me. I wait for my calling and I wait for my OWN self to push me to make a movie but right now, I just started college and I'm in no rush to make a film.

    I mean should I be?

What are your opinions on how to get my dad to stop trying to push me? My dad pushes me by constantly insulting my lazy lifestyle and raising his voice at the fact that I never care about setting goals.

  • Why do people think Steven Spielberg is a good film director?

    *****READ RANT BEFORE ANSWERING PLEASE******

What risks did Steven Spielberg take in cinema?

Part of being a great filmmaker is taking risks. And taking a risk in filmmaking a showing all of us what we are TOO afraid to show and making an impression on other filmmakers.

Stanley Kubrick took risks in ALL of his films. All of his films were highly controversial for their subject matter and one of his BIGGEST risks turned out to be one of his BIGGEST successes and that movie is "A Clockwork Orange"

Steven Spielberg stayed within the limitations of stupid kids and making his films "Family orientated".

Not that that matters, but that's what Spielberg has always done which makes him a blockbuster type guy and the fact that he kept you on the edge of your seat in all of his films.

But he never took HUGE risks as a filmmaker and he's one person that I will never aspire to be like.

  • Why do people think Christopher Nolan is the new Stanley Kubrick?

I've read several articles recently comparing Christopher Nolan to Kubrick but In no way are Christopher Nolan's plots, cinematography style etc even close to Kubrick's cinematography style. And Christopher Nolan isn't even that great of a cinematographer and his style runs together with Clint Eastwood's use of lighting in his films.

If anything, Wes Anderson is more of a Stanley Kubrick type direct6or than anyone (Cinematography wise) but overall no one really comes close.

    Your opinions?

  • Is it bad to be shy and timid in college?

From what I have noticed, there are not many shy people in college.

Maybe only like 1 or 2 from what I've seen in class. The rest have incredible social skills like OMG THEY'VE PROBS BEEN PRACTICING!

But I'm a shy, timid person. If someone were to say something rude to me, I have the wit to tell them off in my mind but on the outside I gulp, give them a weird face, and try to prevent from crying later on.

Is it bad to be like this when going into college?

  • POLL: Do tall people appear more intelligent on first impression?

IMAGINE a man that is 9"7.

His body was fully proportional and he was evened out (He didn't look too lanky like most basketball players, he looked fully proportionate with a thick/strong physical build)

-He spoke with a radiance of Morgan Freeman and Liam Neeson but wiser and a bit deeper. His voice almost came out like running water from a stream when he spoke and he was always calm and smiled to.

-His head was very large and it was noticeable as well.

Would you consider this person intelligent without really even knowing him? Just after hearing his swift and calm beautiful voice and seeing his overall body structure?

  • I feel so alone in the world and I feel like I'm mentally unstable?

I feel so alone in the world and I think I have caused it.

I've never been able to keep a friend longer than a week. My personality constantly changes and it's inconsistent and so are my opinions towards different things.

The first week I have a friend, I show my natural charming side because for some reason I exude kindness and willingness when I first meet someone but it doesn't last longer than a week. Eventually I snap, order them around, and stop listening to what they say. This mainly happens when I become hyper and compulsive. I feel like my brain constantly makes me drift from one area to the next and I follow it's cycle.

This may be bipolar, but I don't have random depression. It's a mix of multi personality disorder I think and mood swings. But my own self has constantly made NO one want to be around me that I am completely alone.

I order my parents around as well and LOL I don't even have a job or any income. I order them around constantly and I always try to get what I want with little thought or CARE for the other person.

But then after I'm like this, and my personality changes, I cry when I think about everything I've done wrong to other people yet it's like I can't help it.

This has also affected my intelligence quite a bit and each year I feel like it's getting worse. I now no LONGER want to learn the skills to my profession, I just want people to GIVE me the skills and profession. I almost feel like I'm the living incarnation of the devil LOLOLOL because I can be REALLY REALLY callous in cold, just in the way that I think....

What are your opinions as to why I'm like this?

  • Is there any way to stop getting anxiety?

I know there has to be a way. I hate it when people say "NO EVERYONE gets anxiety" but I don't think that is true. Most successful people and successful prodogies just GO after what they want with little thought and strategy. Don't tell me......... That they were extremely nervous. Some people just go straight into areas and don't fear rejection, they just DO it.

I suffer from intense panic attacks and I'm tired of it. These Panic Attacks and constant paranoa make me dumber in public, they make me score lower on tests because I worry about getting the answer wrong too much and panic attacks make it almost impossible for me to function when surrounded by groups.

Any ideas on how to just STOP anxiety? Anxiety is unproductive and it makes people screw up and not live up to their full potential.

  • Introverts vs extroverts: Who is more likely to succeed in life?

From what I have gathered it's pretty close so I'll let you guys make the final decision.

+Extroverts love to network and love to meet new people in general. An extrovert loves to talk and make small talk for any means just to tell someone who he/she is.

+Introverts are typically very keen and watchful observers which can make them more intelligent to an extent. Introverts do not like to network, but they typically make intelligent responses when talking to people. What most extroverts fail to recognize is how to lead.

An extrovert could go on for days about himself and some extroverts never break the small talk boundaries with new acquaintances while most introverts maintain a "Get the job done" attitude which (in my opinion) may make them more suited and more able to lead people and environments through intelligence while the extrovert MAY win over personality.

So in the end, I guess it's intelligence vs personality considering most introverts (like myself) dislike small talk and we know the requirements of making friends but are just too lazy to commit ourselves to making small talk. When we want something, we go get it without the silly buildup. Most introverts go STRAIGHT to the punchline while extroverts typically go for the long buildup THEN punchline. We don't have the patience nor the energy for the buildup and we find it often pointless to build something up when all we came for was the action.

But overall, who wins in terms of success?
