Hello, I have a younger sister who is 12 yrs old right now. She has been playing basketball since she was 9 yrs of age. In 4th grade (age 10) she joined a local traveling team and has been with this same team till present day. She starts basketball every year about Nov. time and continues to play multiple games and tournaments from then till about mid-summer time, then she gets a few months off, while still working on her game at the town courts.

BTW they're record has been something like ( 65-8 over the past few years) Playing teams out of state and in local and regional areas

Right now her team is entering in the Girls Basketball Association league to play some tournaments around Ohio for the summer.

My sister starts on the team as a Shooting Guard (SG, or #2) Stands about 5'1. she's by far the quickest one on the squad, averages the most steals and 4th quarter or late 2nd half points than anyone on the team. She also is running track, and has beat all the boys AND girls in her school. She's racing in the MSAA track meet Ohio championships this May (http://www.ohioyouthrunner.org/)

My question is, how does one go about getting their child or sibling noticed by colleges at this early age?

She earns all A's and B's with her grades as well.

PS: She will also attend the Ohio St. girls basketball camp this June.

Most people are either 22 or 23 going into the Draft.

Lets say I guy was 21 going into his frost yr and played till he was a Sr, going into the Draft he would be 25. Would it look better for him if he declared the draft as a Jr being 24 yrs of age, which in turn would only be a year older than most senior going into the draft.

So i realize there is about 214 players drafted to the NFL through 7 rds of 32 teams...

But how does one become a free agent? (is it after he is not drafted?)

Also, can anyone who comes out of college ball become a free agent or do they have to enter the draft?

I know only about 300 players are taken to the NFL combine, but what about those 100's of other players, how do they get they're shot?

I live with my Gf's parents and her.

The other day i got my income tax check in the mail for $1200 bucks. that i use for college and other things.

The parents of my Gf asked to have some 400 bucks to pay they're rent and grocey's for the house. BTW--they never work, they're on drugs a lot, they don't even take care of one of their kids who has to stay at the gmas, because she's 12 and they had her smoking pot, just poor parents all together..

but being a nice guy i said yes to the money thinkin they really need it. (the month b4 my gf paid the cable and i supplied food again, i stay here maybe 4 times week)

come to find today that they never paid the rent or bought food,they bought more weed n pills n coke. and a paper came here today saying we have to leave for unpaid dues....

is this disrespect or what?

Ok, this is one of the weirdest thing that's ever happened to me.

its like im stuck in a routine. every other day or so i get a very hardcore deja vu of something... where i feel like everything that is happening has happened before exactly like this. its kinda scary to be honest. Its like im in the Truman Show movie LOL seriously.

Also, a lot of times it feels like everyone is watching me. I heard of something called 'schizophrenia' it might be something i could have..idk

The jets have been fired up the last few weeks with 2 wins in big games against the Colts (Manning) and the Pats (Brady). Rex, for 2 weeks has made a personal statement against both teams calling out Manning and the Colts and Brady and the Pats, both of which managed to fire up his team and take charge on the field.

But not this week, all statements regarding Mike Tomlin and the Steelers have been nothing but of respect toward them. Even though in the regular season the Jets beat the Steelers 22-17 on week 15.

What do you think Rex Ryan is trying to do different to get the players pumped and ready for the upcoming AFC championship?

And why not make things personal again because it has worked the last few weeks?

For bettering a Wide Receiver in the weight room---

I do Lifts like power cleans, bench press, dead lifts, squats.

I do pylometrics and sprint drills, and some foot speed drills, I try to work on my fast twitch muscle fibers through various exercises like jump squats.

I have a light load day where i focus on moving the weight fast and explosively, and I have a heavy load day where I try to improve my maximal strength.

Is there anything else I 'SHOULD' be doing to improve my performance next season? Maybe a better routine?

My goals are to improve my speed, gain total body strength and improve my agility

Whose better : Derek Rose or Monte Ellis?

And

Who has more ups/vertical : LeBron or Blake Griffin?

Lately, I have been having a resting heart rate of 90 + beats a min!!?!

Sometimes it has me feeling fainted, sometimes i have shortness of breath, but I work out 3 days a week hard for 2 hrs sometimes, im not over weight, actually one might say im very fit, muscular wise.

I smoke cigarettes, 4-9 a day.

The episode usually lasts about 15-20 mins and then goes away, and sometimes burping heavy makes it feel better. A lot of times it feels like i can feel my heart, like it is weak and that it could give any minute now in those 15-20 mins.

Coming from Mount Union Ohio, about 45 mins from where I am living now, Cecil Shorts iii is going pro next year after 4 years at a D3 school, considered a top receiver capable of big time plays and is projected to go in the 4th rd or higher!!!!

How does D1 schools miss out on guys like this? Maybe if he had played at a bigger school he might be drafted higher.

Last Nights game, by no means was the kind of game that I expected, with two super powered Offenses, at the end of the game only tallying a combined 41 points, it was surprising to say that the defenses of both teams played the bigger roles in this game.

But even though the Tigers come out with the 'W', I think the Ducks should have won, but because of costly mistakes in the red zone, they lose by a FG. I doubted some of the Ducks calls in the red zone, mainly some of their running plays they kept going back too, and it never worked because of Fairly and the Tigers Defensive line. But their passing game and short shuttle passes were on fire when Thomas threw a good ball.

The ducks should have won 28-22 and beat the tigers, but the safety, 2 turn overs in the red zone leaves Oregon with their heads down walking away with a loss.

I mean, on the bench only thing u use is ur arms and chest, and som lats,

but deadlift, u have ur legs and lower back working, and ur legs alone are usually twice as strong as ur arms???

When you have a team like TCU, teams that are in smaller conferences who go on undefeated runs but some how still dont deserve a shot at the BCS championship game. I get that they dont always play the top competition but not even Auburn, ohio st, alabama can do better than go undefeated, so why dont they get to play in the biggest college football game of the year??

Right now TCU is up against a VERY good and strong big 10 team who trashed Ohio st earlier this year, ladies n gentlemen this TCU team should have had a shot

Yes, ok, everyone knows it, uconn's women basketball has made history with they're amazing winning streak, but after last nights game against standford, they looked like a team ANY top 10 team could have beaten, let alone being named the greatest team in history of sports. Maya Moore didnt do good at all, and what happens? they simply fall apart.

Last night the Uconn girls looked SOO one dimensional, and in turn, made Standford instead look like the team of the decade..
