What should I pack for our wedding and honeymoon?
In two months we're going to Las Vegas, NV for 4 days, then we'll be spending 2 weeks in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Are there any easily overlooked items that I need to be sure to include? Or any packing tips, tricks, or ideas? Thanks!
1 AnswerPacking & Preparation1 decade agohow do random people find my profile on YM?
I get TONS of random people trying to add me to their friends list in YM--sometimes as many as twenty in one day. It drives me nuts to the point that I'd rather not use YM at all, except that I love the email notification feature. How do they find me? Is there anything I can do to prevent them from requesting an add, short of changing my identity?
1 AnswerOther - Yahoo Messenger1 decade agoMy laptop won't run off the AC adapter, but the battery will charge if the computer is turned off. Any ideas?
When my Toshiba Satellite P35 is turned on, it shows that it is running off the battery, regardless of if it's plugged in, but the AC charges the batteries while it's turned off. I replaced the power cord a month or two ago due to a short in the cord, and it was working fine until a couple of days ago. The computer is acting like the voltage is too low, but I don't want to buy another AC adapter unless I'm pretty sure that is the problem, and I don't have a lot of money to get it checked out by a tech.
Is there anything besides a faulty AC adapter that could cause this?
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoIs this the backlight/inverter?
My laptop screen has been flickering for a couple of days, and it suddenly went dark. If the room is bright enough, I can still see images on the screen, and I've found that if I turn the screen to it's lowest setting, it'll stay on but has a red tint. I think it's the backlight, but I'm not sure--a couple of the sites I read were talking about the screen inverter. Is this something I can repair myself? How much would it cost? How much could I plan on spending if I took it to a computer repair shop?
